Will my modding of the the Chernobyl game affect the new Clear Skies game when it comes out. I'd like to glide into the game without any problems.

Um, ok this is a modding and editing section not mind reading section.
We dont know what "your modding" is. We dont know what you altered so how can we tell you if it will work with CS. You cannot import the same weapons ltx files for example due to different addressing of the models not to mention i think CS has more variables.
So please, next time before hitting the post button, re-read your question and ask yourself does it make sense?
Yes, I am a daywalker and do not know enough to spit. I am trying to learn basically throughw what people write in threads here. Imagine me as the 6'0 foot tall retarded kid in 4th grade. All smiles with bad breath.

I didnt mean to lash out at you, we've all done stupid stuff, and its been a long day for me. You still havent told us what modifications you speak of. Be specific and we can theoretically tell you which ones will work and which ones wont.
No problem. I am just frustrated as I have never had a problem before. I will get into the system and get the error files and such and get back with you. Thanks in advance.
I've been playing around with CS and it's def. different in terms of the weapon mods. Cause in CS there is a guy near just about every trader who does weapons upgrades. So CS has seperate files that contain the "upgrade" variables and it's gonna take some figuring out for sure before you start to see weapons MODs for CS that work properly. I did however do some things to CS which were easy and same as in ShOC and that was changing the flashlight file and the backpack weight. Now the flashlight is actually useable and I can carry 150kg and still run.
Actually its incredibly simple to make upgrades work for custom CS weapons and outfits. (at least it was simple once i figured it out)
First create weapon (eg. w_abakansp.ltx (the sp in my case meaning special)) look for area concerning upgrades and change each upgrade so that there is 'sp' after abakan eg. upgrades = up_gr_ab_abakansp, up_gr_cd_abakansp, up_gr_ef_abakansp, up_gr_gh_abakansp, up_gr_i_abakansp, up_gr_j_abakansp Copy or create w_abakansp_up.ltx (upgrade file) if you just made a copy then all you have to do is add sp after each abakan. eg. up_sect_a_abakansp do that all through file.
Also in weapons.ltx add the file names in at the top. Then in stalkers_upgarde_info (its not a misspelling thats what it is in config/ misc) add the weapon name to the tech you want to have skill for upgrading custom weapon. Then decide how you want item to be added ingame (quest reward, trader, whatever) There are a few other things that need to be done but theres the basics. When error log mentions 'duplicates' then either delete or change name (i use sp as already mentioned) If it says it cant open 'whatever' then it means you either missed changing or adding the name of 'whatever' in one of the files. Also you need to change name of weapon hud (eg. wpn_abakansp_hud its mentioned twice in weapon file far as i can tell) there is also mention of a weapon at bottom of some files either delete or rename (i deleted it).
p.s. sorry about being so vague, i'm not much of a teacher.
Hey it helps alot though, thanx! That isn't too hard afterall.

lol?
Anyways, if you don't add the mods for SoC to Clear Sky, and do a clean install of it, you should be fine. But if you try to transfer over SoC mods, then you may have a problem.
Or am I not understanding you?
Actually i understand his original question as this. He wants to start modding but was wondering if the mods he makes be usable in CS. Im not too sure why Demoche started talking about scripting as we were discussing importing files from SoC into CS not how to mod in CS.
