Understand that now you have uncovered the truth (666) you must all die.

I just spent about 45 minutes looking through it, and then looking on the web and I cannot help you. You are calling the right ammo, in the correct form. Was the rest of the stash multiplied? There was some talk about the new ammo having an average count, so that when dealing with traders you would not have to click for every round. I have never dealt with that though.

Good Luck!

In the Bizon description the Magazine size is 30 instead of 64.

Now for the biggie. The new descriptions for the armor and weapons are great. Makes life hell of a lot easier when you are buying new armor or comparing weapons. But as for the Ammo.......

As is, ammo descriptions are very vague. They give very little info on what you gain and lose (See: 7.62x54mm and 9x39mm series especially) from using each particular type of round. Delving into the weapon.ltx file gives one a good idea what each type does. If you understand half the values that is.

In short: Better ammo descriptions would be bloody ****ing marvelous!!!

Whoops, that would be my slip-up. :uhm:

I've already done a bit of work on the ammo descriptions in the newest stringtable (attached to one of my posts above), I worked on making the ammo titles and descriptions more uniform and descriptive. However, like you say the 7.62x54 and 9x39 descriptions are especially vague and I couldn't find all that much information about the capabilties of either, so I didn't change much there.

FourAces, if you could give me some of the particulars of each of those ammo types (their stopping power, range, penetration power, etc) I can work it into the descriptions. I'd look it up myself but I don't understand how all of the values translate into actual performance.

No one does. :rofl::rofl::rofl:

Alright, I will take a look and try to get back before my 30 minutes is up.

I have just posted the CS version of the weapon textures. Perversely the Static Lighting makes them look much better than the Vanilla CS (IMHO). See my webpage for info. There are no new screen shots, but they look as good or better than the SOC ones. I found some things I missed the first time around, and upgraded some of the graphics. This is version 1.0 for CS and it will not be compatible with SOC for some of the textures. GSC stuffed the same silencer into each texture even though it is in the generic texture file (scopes and the other attachments). I guess they just wanted us to have to redo our textures.

My CS thread is here.

Nope, it took nearly an hour.

Here are the relevant ammo stats

Spoiler: Show

Only the significant (10%+) differences are noted unless noteworthy.

Impulse = Knockback and is not noted.

Impair = when I wrote this file I though it was bleeding but just checking now returned - recoil from pain, but it might be both. I am going to call it recoil from pain. I do not think that you have to include it but it is up to you.

The displacement is standard at 3 so any variation from that must be compared to a base of 3. So 2.5 is actually an improvement in accuracy.

9x18_fmj Weight = 124g for box of 20

9x18_pbp Weight = 155g for box of 20 +10% damage +35% pierce capability +15% recoil from pain

9x18_pmm Weight = 155g for box of 20 +50% range +10% damage +10% pierce capability +50% recoil from pain

9x19_fmj Weight = 160g for box of 20

9x19_pbp Weight = 160g for box of 20 +10% damage +35% pierce capability +15% recoil from pain

5.45x39_fmj Weight = 96g for box of 30

5.45x39_ap Weight = 120g for box of 30 +17% Accuracy +75% pierce capability

7.62x39_fmj Weight = 240g for box of 30 +25% pierce capability

7.62x39_ap Weight = 300g for box of 30 +125% pierce capability +17% Accuracy +20% Damage

5.56x45_ss190 Weight = 120g for box of 30 +17% Accuracy

5.56x45_ap Weight = 120g for box of 30 +75% pierce capability +17% Accuracy

5.7x28_fmj Weight = 105g for box of 50 +17% Accuracy -20% pierce capability

5.7x28_ap Weight = 131g for box of 50 +17% Accuracy +25% pierce capability

7.62x54_7h1 Weight = 132g for box of 10 +50% Accuracy +25% pierce capability

7.62x54_ap Weight = 165g for box of 10 +50% Accuracy +20% Damage +125% pierce capability

7.62x54_7h14 Weight = 165g for box of 10 +66% Accuracy +25% Range +10% Damage +75% pierce capability +25% recoil from pain

9x39_pab9 Weight = 480g for box of 30 +17% Accuracy -30% recoil from pain

ammo_9x39_ap Weight = 600g for box of 30 +17% Accuracy +20% Damage +125% pierce capability

ammo_9x39_sp5 Weight = 600g for box of 30 +25% Range +33% Accuracy +10% Damage +35% pierce capability +25% recoil from pain

gauss Weight = 500g for box of 10 Classified

11.43x23_fmj Weight = 240g for box of 20

11.43x23_hydro Weight = 300g for box of 20 -5% Range +10% Damage +35% pierce capability +15% recoil from pain

12x70_buck Weight = 2800g for box of 10 -20% Range -60% Accuracy -65% Damage -30% pierce capability +20% recoil from pain 6 Shot Buckshot

12x76_dart Weight = 2250g for box of 10 +300% Range +77% Accuracy +30% Damage +250% pierce capability +20% recoil from pain One Dart

12x76_zhekan Weight = 3500g for box of 10 +100% Range +160% Damage +100% pierce capability +15% recoil from pain One Slug

After looking at all that again, I can see a few tweaks that should be made.

These values are applied to the weapon, which is why I standardized FMJ ammo as much as possible. That way the weapons could be properly balanced, and then the rest of the ammo could be created. Of course I forgot that I was going to make all non-standard ammo more rare and much more expensive. I think I made it too cheap and common, but cannot really remember anymore.

I could not make all the ammo realistic without making god level ammo. Everyone would be running around with spas12's carrying 150 rounds of slug and 150 rounds of darts. The slug should make you bleed to death in a few seconds even if you are only grazed, and the darts make you into a sniper with the same weapon.

Bloody marvelous! I can't thank you enough!

Digging through the weapon.ltx the only stat that was obvious to me was pierce. And hey, my own personal guess at what impair did was right! Spiffy!

Update: I am nearly done the editing of the CS weapons files. When I am done, I am going to test it and then re-merge with my SOC work. Then I will re-release a fix for the weapons and ammo. I made a few mistakes, including the fact that my brain keeps on multiplying shotgun ammo weight by 10 (for the base). While I already revised it down, I accidentally made it 2.8kg/10 shells for buckshot, when it was supposed to be .28. I guess my previously overblown number skewed my expectations.

As you can see I do not like, use, or even have much experience with shotguns. They are too loud, with too much recoil. I prefer rifles like the Tavor (TAR-21) or upcoming IAR or even a fallback PDW in single fire mode. I would love to get a hold of a M-107, but that would be a neat trick. ;)

I also tweaked my tweaks, so hopefully this will act more realistic. For example, the shoguns will technically do 50% of their current damage, but their shells either have 2X the shot, or the slug/dart does 2X the damage. I wanted to control more from the ammo when I started, but I apparently transfer enough there. That way, if you want to make an easy change to all the weapons (eg. +25% damage) you only have to edit the one, conscise file.

That means that there will be some changes to the ammo stats I am afraid. For the most part they are staying the same, so it will not take that long to update the text file.

Minor typo. The Mac-10 damage was stated as 54. I looked in the weapon file and it's 64.

That was probably when it jumped from 9x19 to .45 cal ammo. Thanks for the report, I will be able to update it after I get done with the weapons for CS. I put the trader CS mod on hold until I can play it a bit more.

Is CS basically dead? I have been looking at downloads for all the CS mods and they are very low for something that has been out this long. By this time SOC was seeing 15K downloads for the good mods.

I am just wondering what others are hearing and thinking. I have had Fallout 3 for two days and would love to install it, but my self control is the only thing that is keeping me from disappearing for a few months. Is everyone else already there? ;)

Thank,thank you,thank you.

I recently purchased CS and liked it alot but vanilla sucked.Added some mods and much better.Read about OL and so purchased SHOC.Oblivion lost is a blast!!!I played for 8 hrs straight, something I havent done in years. But I like realism and the AK74 I was using was like a laser.I tried ReduxCS and that needs alot of work.

Then today I STUMBLE:confused: onto your mods.I have hit the motherload :)

You and your team shocked me when I loaded up the mods.Traders is a great improvment as is "dead mans loot".The thing I love though is realistic weapons and this mod is soooooo sweet!!

My ak74 was no longer a sniper rifle thank goodness. The massive recoil just felt so right.Pistol felt great.Found a modified AK74 and tested it out and it was just slighly better.I applaud the details of this mod!!!!!

Well all isnt bliss overhere.I tried to get from my base to the exit from cordon into garbage.I still havent made it there as there are literally hundreds of bloodsuckers, hounds, meat slobs and enemy soldiers every 100 ft on map.Its total mayhem and its kool but it takes away IMO to the desolate zone feel.Is their anyway to knock it down a notch:lol:

Also,if I may,Id like to add a suggestion to it.Is it possible to have the weapons info reversed so that the gun info text is underneath the weapon stats.Right now you have to scroll down each one as you go back and forth checking its stats.

Thanks again and im off to try to make it that last 100 ft to garbage.
