Been doing some searching in the forums for info on how to change the speed the grenades are thrown. Perhaps this is a distance thing but can't find where to change this in the ltx file. Also, I would like to change the grenade reload time and the fuse time. Looking to do this for SP, any help is appreciated!
Fearless, did you look in weapons.ltx??
Yea, The f1 isn't on in that one. I'm just not sure which of the file it is in. Found some other interesting things while searching tho. I am new to trying to mod Stalker. thx!
ok, did you look in w_f1.ltx and w_rgd5.ltx at
force_min = 10 force_const = 25;20 force_max = 30 force_grow_speed = 15;2 ;30
destroy_time = 2500;3500
explode_duration = 3
Yeah, I hate to say it but I have no clue what those mean yet. I will play a little tonight with em. Thanks for the info! When I figure it all out I'll let folks know here.
ok, well I'm struggling to remember from last time I edited any grenade settings. I've only edit the grenades from launches which are slighlty differant. So I don't really know what those force varibles do, but they sound interesting.
The destroy_time is maybe the fuse timer? I'm not sure. It's in milliseconds, so 1000 = 1 sec.
explode_duration is how long the exploding animation is played for, it is in seconds, so 1 = 1sec.
Another thing you can try, is comment out destroy time, and insert this command: ;destroy_time = 2500 force_explode_time = 650this is in milliseconds again.
A comment is anything that is after a semi-colon ; and on the same line of code, it means that the engine will ignore anything after the ;
Hope this helps.
Yep, I got all that figured out last night, You are right on with the settings and values. Force values are for the throw speed, set em to high and you'll take out a target 200km away! Now I just need to speed up the reload time between grenade throws. No idea how or where yet. In some file somewhere. Thanks again for the help!
hmm, yeah, dunno on that one. If I was a betting man, I would say that it is prolly in the meshe / animation, much like the reload on any other wpn. As the grenade dosn't have anything like an RPM varilbe.
Yea. i wish it was simple like the CoD series, Reload_Time 2.1 etc. I will keep trying and let folks know if I figure it out. Thanks again!
