Ok So as some people know i am currently in the progress of creating a mod, so here are the details of what it will/should have and for a number of reasons i am sorry to say but i will be making this mod alone, ideas are always welcome [1]Balance first off balance to me is an absolute must! ive seen too many compliation mods wich have no balance whatsoever [2]No Story Option - (Free Play) This is going to be a priority to me, those who have played the game including the full story will know why i want a no story on this mod ;) also it will still have your side missions but no special missions ****THIS IS A MAYBE**** if i dont succeed in the no story option you can at least expect free play [3]New Missions Like the title new missions, sidestorys etc will be added rewards will be given [4]New Weapons I think in any mod new weapons is a must! not enough weapon selection with the basic game [5]New Mutants This will add a new dimension to the game, this game will no longer be for the faint hearted its gonna throw u in the deep end from the start ;) [6]New Textures New textures on weapons and mutants [7]Many More spawns yes thats right more spawns so more mutants ;) [8]Mutants are everywhere all mutants are everywhere even buildings and places u think ur safe in ;) [9]Realistic weather yes thats right realistic weather [10]More interaction more interaction with other stalkers (unless they are ur enemy) ;) -=========================================================- List of mutants: New mutants to come will be [COLOR=red]ravinous dog - Just like the blind dog only it doesnt like humans and it will attack alone, its faster and stronger than its basic mutated brothers (found deep in the zone) these will be extremely dangerous in packs [COLOR=red]enraged bloodsucker[/COLOR] - a new breed of bloodsucker, extremely fast at running, dangerous with its attack still with the ability to cloak (extremely common deep in the zone, very few are sighted around the out zone perimeter)[/COLOR] [COLOR=blue][COLOR=red]possessed snork[/COLOR] - a snork that has been possessed by the poltergiest, this is a fast monster with powerful attacks, as well as the poltergiests psychic attacks including object moving and fireball attacks (only found deep in the zone)[/COLOR] [COLOR=red]Armoured snork [/COLOR][COLOR=blue]- just similar to the possessed snork this 1 went through an entirely different way of mutation, its body has scales on it and it takes a lot of rounds to kill it[/COLOR] [COLOR=black]This next creature is a maybe depending if the coding will allow me to do it[/COLOR] [COLOR=red]Terror bat - flying type creature with aerieal attacks, extremely dangerous (found all over except in buildings)[/COLOR] [COLOR=black]also there will be much more things, but for now i think u can drool over the current list ;)[/COLOR] [COLOR=black]Release notes:[/COLOR] Expect a beta version within about 2 months at the most peace i better get to work

sounds great man i hope you do well and complete it because i would love to try it out. good luck on the mod im sure it will turn alot of heads when you release it.

Heya Jimbo, How about making friendly loners follow you; safety in numbers. The armoured snork, perhaps before it got mutated it was a more armoured soldier? You already know about the PKM and P90 etc. (Weapons that were'nt included in the vanilla version) How about Rspeeds faction join option like i mentioned in the other post. Bring back the Dead City area with Mercenaries Perhaps a monster that can jam your gun from any range; not so armed as you think. These are just a few ideas. You will hear more from me Jimbo

The game has more unfinished weapons than just the PKM and P90. Also has a Mac and A minigun and a couple of other textures. But people tried to add them back in, but as they lack meshes (.ogf files), they require the SDK which hasnt come out yet. cool idea for a mod, a lot of work for one modder though - especially since now some experienced modders and teams are already making huge mods, but good luck and enjoy yourself. :smokin:

on a note from what u mentioned, the loners following you about was already in my "to do list" thats exactly what i had in mind when i said more interaction it seems ur really thinking on my wavelength PS. mod wont progress much until the weekend i'm busy with only about 3hrs a day to spare so on the weekend is when i will get lots done thx for your interest

I really like your ideas but I fear many of them won't be doable without the sdk. Mutant respawn points are an enigma, I've seen quite a few attempts at making them (including my own) but no one has yet been successful without using scripts which don't really work well. You may be the first though, good look and lets hope your ambition pays off!

The thing is you need to specify exactly how you plan to do the balancing. Some do it via AI, some via weapons tweaking, etc. ALso you need to point out if you plan to have a no story "Option" any problems that may arise for those that want to do the story tasks. For instance in AlIVe crashes and weird AI bugs start to happen when you do stroy missions and they are often not predictable. Sometimes you can go up to the start of Pripyat with no bugs, then suddenly the game won't let you continue. There are a lot of people whom would rather do the story missions then have freeplay after game completion.

then i will probs go about it after game completion, a bit like rspeed and his abc mod
