Im hoping someone could help me. I've probably just done something really stupid that is causing this. Basically I've only edited a couple of minor things in some of the .ltx files. (just trying some basic things out)

More specifically

Created a folder called gamedata Created the required subfolders, and placed in the modified .ltx files config/system.ltx max_weight = 500 (from 50) config/creatures/actor.ltx max_item_mass = 500 (from 50) max_walk_weight = 600 (from 60) config/models/objects/light.night.ltx range = 30 (from 13) range_r2 = 30 (from 13) fsgame.ltx (as needed ofcourse) $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\ Now when I start a new game, its fine. But there are NO NPC's (except for the first dude). If I try to load a saved, crash to desktop. If I move all the original gamedata files into the gamedata folder (amongst my edited files), the game wont load at all. (Instant crash to desktop during the intro splash screens (ASUS, etc) The crashes to desktop dont give me any 'bug catcher' reports, its just a plain old crash. Any assistance would be great! :) Thanks.

Hi..

If I move all the original gamedata files into the gamedata folder (amongst my edited files), the game wont load at all. Don't do that. It's not supposed to work at all. Just the modified files go into that gamedata folder.

Did you already use notepad to open/modify the ltx files ? If so, I suggest you first only change the weight related datas and test it.. As for the light thing, maybe you can use an already existing mod.

Have fun, Stalker.

I'm not sure if this help you, but config/models/objects/light.night.ltx file should be renamed to: config/models/objects/light_night.ltx

I have since read about that. :) [quote=man.spider40;3951938]I'm not sure if this help you, but config/models/objects/light.night.ltx file should be renamed to: config/models/objects/light_night.ltx

Haha... sorry. Nice pick up on my typo. The file is named correctly however. EDIT: Ok... so there was something wrong with my system.ltx file. Cant say what, but even when I changed back the only thing I had modified, it still didn't work. Reextracted the system.ltx from the .db0 file, and changed the weight value again and its all good. How silly! What a waste of time too! Argh! >_< Well anyway... so far so good. I'll start putting everything together again and see how it goes. Thanks for the help anyway guys.
