How can you tell if certain mods were installed correctly and working? I installed the ZRP mods 'Gamedata' folder as well as the 'gamedata.104c' scripts folder but dont notice any changes.
How bout other mods. OL is pretty obvious.....
You have to start a new game, if you edit any script. If you dont do, it wont do anything. cant help you much more, because i dont know what the mods should do, I never heard of them.... the textures are obvious, too. you can see damage values if you click on the gun. sound is easy, too. So i dont know what you want to ask...
The most obvious way will be, I suppose, if you try to load 'Vanilla' save and have a CTD. Or BSOD, whatever... ha ha.
Pick something easy to test that the mod should do. Something you can check early in the game would be best, then start a new game and test it. If it does what the mod says it should do, the mods working.
Heh. The ZRP is primarily a bug-fix mod, so what you might notice is that the quests work and the game crashes a lot less. Human nature being what it is, we tend to notice the bugs and the broken quests and the irritating repetition of phrases -- but when they are not there, we typically don't notice.
I don't recomment ZRP 1.04; use 1.05 Test (or later; updates are planned). That version will show a message on the lower left of the main menu, like "Version 1.0005 - ZRP 1.05 test r11" if it is installed properly.
See the ZRP website for more info, especially for how to get the most vanilla experience out of the ZRP.
Note to Reptile4077: Not all scripts require a new game. In fact, you can run the ZRP with your current game if it is based on patch 1.0004 or later. If you don't start a new game, you'll miss out on a few minor bug fixes, but the bug-fix patch mod will work just fine.
