I've converted a couple of sound files into .ogg format but they cause the game to crash on loading. Is there something else to be taken into condsideration when doing this?

I'm working with two sound files where two guys say, "get out of here stalker", and the other says, "I said come in. Don't stand there.".

It seems simple enough. Why won't it work?

Thanks for any help.

It's gotta be in mono not stereo, that's the only problem I had when doing this, sorry I can't be of more help but there are others who can if this isn't the problem.

That was it. I was recording in stereo. Tried mono and it worked. The guy in the hanger that always says "get out of here stalker" now says "Hello stalker, it's good to see you sir." lol I'll probably get tired of that too. Butt kisser. lol

Thanks for the info. :}

What sound converter are you using? I use Audacity (freeware), and it seems to export Stereo .ogg files without causing problems. Just a thought.

I use SC Audio Converter 2. I was using low compression. That could've been it as well.

Quite possible. I recommend Audacity (link below is labeled oddly) Domain Maintenance

or Goldwave (Another strangely labeled link) Domain Maintenance

Hopefully those will serve you better.
