hi, i would want to remove bloodsuckers (:bawl:) from stalker, but don't know how. do i have to edit m_bloodsucker.ltx? i hope you understood

To remove them completely would involve editing the all.spawn. However you could do an ugly little hack to swap them with another mutant. Just open say the m_dog.ltx and the m_bloodsucker.ltx and copy paste. You would need to replace just the detail and not the section headers... e.g [bloodsucker_strong] should be left in the ltx. The part you would replace is the text below that with the text from the [dog_strong] section... for all sections in the ltx. Now this would not be perfect, as missions would still refer to "bloodsuckers" and where those scripted sequences are (e.g agroprom) you would have a dog (or whatever mutant you used) spawn instead. Other than that you have to start delving into all.spawn which is not that easy.

Hey EggChen, I wonder if you might be able to help me out; I've read your other topic about hexeditors and how to edit the all.spawn but seeing as i'm a utter noob when it comes to modding my question is:

is it possible to edit the all.spawn file and replace every single mutant/dog/zombie and replace them with humanoids of the different factions? And if yes, how?

Also, quests that would require "kill x mutant", is it possible to alter any other file so they don't enact a spawning of said mutant but rather of a humanoid NPC/mob?

Hey Vinn. Yes I think you could completely remove mutants from the game, it would take a lot of work in all.spawn though (and some script work to alter the boar attack on Duty base in Garbage). As for the missions, well accepting one does not spawn a mutant, they are already there. So you would just never be offered a mission to kill a bloodsucker, however you would still be able to accept missions to get a body part, but obviously this would not be a mission you could complete. I think if you were to do this it would take some serious work :- - Replacing all initial spawns and respawns with stalkers. (all.spawn) - Adjusting mutant smart terrains to accept stalkers. (all.spawn) - Some script work on the Garbage boar attack. - Altering much of the text in game. - Altering the missions (task_manager.ltx)

And if I want to make more boars atack the duty in garbage how could I do that? Is it posible to use scripts for that? And what script file should I modify and what comand line? I don't have experience whith scripts in stalker! Thanks

To add more boars to that attack you mite need to find these lines in the all spawn and add a few more. gar_boars_nest = true ÿÿÿÿÿÿÿÿmonsters\mutant_boar\mutant_boar €? ÿÿ ÿÿ $editor ÿÿÿÿ 8 6 €? Ë8,C/ï¾r—DC ·F?áú= ÿÿÿÿ Ž < Ž * â à boar_weak gar_boar_rush_0008 þGÅ/CDey¿”É;CmJ'½Nü¼E??> ÿÿÿÿÿÿ! v Ž• qÍÌB þû ¿ÿÿÿ[smart_terrains] Also put the capacity up, which is just above those lines: capacity = 6 Not saying it will work as i've never played with spawns.
