Hi there

So I made an automatic-fire Beretta like Celine's in Underworld and also a pistol-slot sawn-off shotgun. They work beautifully. Except that they don't have the cute green little arrow in their inventory graphic denoting that they are, well... special.

So if somebody would like to work out what I need to put in the unique_items entry for them (bm16_m1 and beretta_m1), they will be truly complete and I can release my first ever Stalker mod.

It'll combine the new scopes mod, the hud and blood mod plus my unique Auto-Beretta, Hand-Cannon and Headsplitter 3000 SVD.

As I understand it, the unique_items.ltx has descriptions for the unique items that are based on regular items. So they will be only different in the way you change things there. The rest is taken from the base item. Also the inventory item is taken from the base and gets the green arrow on top of it. So you would only have to copy your guns into unique_items. There is no other ltx for the weapon needed then.

The items begin with [bm16_m1]:bm16 where the first part is your item name and the second the base item. Then you'd need to put some stuff underneath it. Look like the other weapons are set. It's mainly just copy and paste from the base item. But if you don't change it, you don't have to include it. Because it will be taken from the base anyway.

It's a white arrow in the green square and there's no unique_items.ltx entry for them. Check out \gamedata\textures\ui\ui_icon_equipment.dds There you can find all inventory icons. If you want to change them you'll have to use some picture editor for .dds I use Photoshop. Hey the barreta would be pretty cool to have in game. And yeah i was thinking the sawed off should go into the pistol slot, being that its is smaller than normal shotguns.

Here one can find a really nice inventory icon for automatic Beretta 93R (ui_icon_equipment.dds is in "Inventory Icons" folder, take a look at the bottom left corner): Beretta 92FS, Stalker Downloads, Stalker Weapons
