Hi there! i made a little modin order to bost thegame expirience. it implies and rebalances tons of things, focused on gameplay, not grafix. you can download it here: http://stalker.filefront.com/file/Motoracutes_Modded_Melange_of_Mods_by_other_modders_and_own_stuff;78435 mmmombomos has recently come to a point where i think about to leave the alpha (pre 0.9) status and go on to a beta with one of the next releases, as im pretty pleased with most things meanwhile. but what i realy need before are people testing it with open eyes for bugs and tell me, what they think is still needed to be rebalanced. so if you are willed to give it a try and me a little help, check it out! thanks in advance mb

Well, it's got two of the best mods out there in it, being Realism Pro and Weather Overhaul so I may give it a try. I just got done playing through with the latest version of Realism Pro and Weather Overhaul. I followed the instructions to remove invisible anomalies and Darker Nights. I also did the tweaks mentioned on the comments board of the download page for Realism Pro that takes the GP 37 back to it's default accuracy and keep the NPC's AKs from floating when they're killed. Have you accounted for the AK problem in this mod and are you using the stock GP 37 accuracy? I did read as far as I can tell that you kept the anomalies visible, so that's a plus. The main gripe I had with Realism Pro after doing the tweaks was the suits don't seem to take damage, which makes it way too easy. You can literally wear one suit through the whole game. It doesn't make sense that you can take severe damage to your body without the suit taking any.

one of my primary goals for the mod was to obtain the gameplay as it was intended to be. I removed a lot of things came with the mods and rewritten all ammo / weapon / creature files. dealers wont sell better stuff than with the original version exemplary. only exeption is for the duty freak, selling slightly better stuff. but one will need that to keep up with the ai, as the player will just take the same ammount of damage as the enemys do with this mod, and the ki will ware exos from there on. so i decided to make the black combatsuit original found in the prypyat avaiable earlyer. scopes to buy form the dealer and spoiling things like that have been on of the mainreasons for me not just so stay with the included mods. that, and the point that i was eager to achieve a more "operation flashpoint" style feeling of the battles. atm there are no known bugs exept for the new hp-ammo is invisible when droped to the ground, but one wont find much and there are enugh blue boxes to store the ammo till the next version is out.

Sounds good, I'm beginning to get burned out on the game already due to lack of challenge. The added AI intensity is much needed IMO. Uping the damage parameters on the weapons is often referred to as added challenge in these realism mods but I feel it just gives more advantage to the player. I had a few occaisions in using the Realism mod where the AI after killing them went flying into walls even toward me from quite a distance in Sarcophagus just before the Wish Granter/Secret Lab options. It may just be a flaw in the stock game script though. I've not yet played the sp maps available for COD2 which I just downloaded so I may wait until your next version before playing this mod. I kinda need a break from STALKER anyway. Lots of running around and looking for things in this game the results of which often leave me feeling like time wasted not getting what I want. There are certain places you can go to find what you need but when you limit yourself to such more linear gameplay you end up trading frustration for boredom.

trust me... this mod is not giving an advantage to the player :) i run much more since... for cover ^^ but difficulty of this mod is cusomisable, just in case ive scared sombody reading this =P

In case you misunderstood me, I meant the stock Realism Pro mod when I said that, mainly because it only focuses on adding more damage to the weapons rather than making the AI more responsive like you did. Like I said, sounds good, and I will give it a try as soon as I get through a few custom COD2 maps that are quite challenging compared to STALKER. The first one I tried hasn't even got any checkpoints let alone quicksaves and enemies spawning in around you.:eek:
