I don't know if anyone can help me with this. I am new to modding. I played STALKER twice through. I decided to try some mods, though I don't know enough about modding to fill a cup. I downloaded engraphos mod and it worked great. I then downloaded ultragraphos 1.1 by fan and Raff. It crashed my game. I attempted to remove this file and may have deleted a file needed for the barkeep. Now when I get into the bar, he doesn't move and just stands there. I uninstalled the game twice and re-installed, but still the same problem. I am afraid I can no longer play this excellent game anymore. Is there something I can do. Running a 2.66 ghz quad 4 pent., 680 mobo, 8800 GTS 640 vc, raptor hd, 3 gig ram. Thanks to anyone who has advice.

Did you completely uninstall it and re-install it? or just removed the gamedata folder?

The problem may also be with the mods you've choosen. Ive never heard of the 2 mods before, nor do i know what they have changed. You have to be more specific. Are you still using the old saved game after re-installing? Because if a mod alters something that gets saved in the files i dont think it would even load, if it does load though but the mod is not there, it may cause unexpected issues.

I have just uninstalled it through the Vista uninstaller for the third time and am about to try it again. I was going through the files and found a file called STALKER SHOC. I believe that it was part of the mod that crashed me. I think I wll delete this also. what the hell, can't hurt me any worse. Thanks for the reply. I am in my second day of learning to mod, so speak to me like I am in third grade. Also, I have been reading other threads about Oblivion Lost 2.2. Is it for real and worth trying to download it?

OL2.2 adds quite a bit of stuff. Greater freeplay options, ability to join factions, unlocks monsters, as well as adds new weapons and traders.

You've most likely found a folder not a file stalker shoc is the folder in your documents which keeps your saved games in. I recommend doing a clean install and starting a new game in vanilla to see if it still crashes. If you wish you can download the OL2.2 mod, its simple to install. Unpack gamedata into the folder where you have bin/mod folder located (aka the root folder) and open fsgame.ltx with notepad. In there you will find a line that says $gamedata = false true. Change the false to a true and installation is complete.
