Not sure about others, but I am a tad confused as to what you are trying to do. Are you trying to add a mod, create a mod, or change a mod? If you are just adding a mod the easiest way is to open your main Stalker folder, open the .zip (.rar, etc) and drag the "gamedata" folder from that archieve into the Stalker folder; no other files or folders are needed. Once you have the new gamedata folder in the main Stalker directory, open your fsgame.ltx (any notepad program will do) and change the second line to read: $game_data$ = true| false| $fs_root$| gamedata\ Once the file is saved you should be able to start a new game with the modded elements. Hopefully this is what you are looking for. PS: The images will not appear on the forums because you are trying to link directly from your computer...Can't do that...:) A good image storage site, one you can link images from, is ImageShack® - Hosting. Just upload your iamges to their database and you can link those images on any site you wish.

yep .. looks right. the "gamedata" folder should be the only other folder besides your "bin" folder in that directory. Now , when you download a new mod, just follow directions and the gamedata folder should appear. or you can place the folders manually: first unzip the download (xp pro: right click -> extract all); then drag the entire gamedata folder from that download next to the "bin" folder or anywhere in that directory. after that just remember to change the second line in fsgame.ltx to read (do this w/Notepad): $game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\

Could I add the gamedata.dbb file to your list? on a fresh install (after upgrading to patch 1.0.0.x I find both gamedata.dba AND .dbb alongside the .db[0-9] archives.

Also, don't forget the other folder that contains your savegames, screenshots, etc... On a WinXP system they show up in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\STALKER-SHOC. Here is located any .cfg files (including the active user.ltx) and other necessary data, and can be used as a backup folder for extracted archives as well.

*Deep Breath* =============== 1) Open My Computer 2) Click C:\ 3) Click Program Files 5) Click THQ 6) Click S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow Of Chernobyl 7) Make a folder called gamedata -------------------------------- Inside gamedata Only place modified files in there the same way you extract them Example: You modify the Winchester1300.ltx To install: Open Gamedata Make a folder called config Open config Make a folder called weapons Open weapons Paste Winchester1300.ltx If you want another weapon in there, just put it in the gamedata
