So, I'm playing AMK 1.4 English, and I'm just past the Dark Valley. I'm going to the rookie camp....going to Sidorovich....and his door is unopened! For some reason, this door is also grenade-,expolsive-, and rocket-proof.:confused: Does anyone have any solutions or workarounds? Thanks!

Look for [ph_door@locked] and set the locked in the next line to locked = false
That should work imho but the trader door is a little mystery for itself. Btw, if you don't have the file, you would have to extract it from your gamedata archives.
Hmmm....the problem was that the door had no activator whatsoever....this also happened in the Dark Valley in the door you open before entering X18, but I got that one open with a grenade....I'll see what this does. Thanks for the help!
Ok, I think I've got it....none of the doors in my game seem to have activators. Therefore, there is no option to press "F" and open/close them. They must be manually forced open via explosion, high-powered round, etc. The fact that the door leading to X18 was never activated caused the script that makes the military attack never happen, which in turn does not activate the script for Sidorovich to call you to see you to happen. In short, to progress, I must find out how to activators to all the doors so I can open/close them. Any suggesstions?
