Ok. I've done some basic modding, I made new ammo type for 5.45x39mm rifles, altough it didn't turn out quite what I wanted, due to engine limitations. (it appears I can't control weapon recoil, breaking and bullet speeds from bullet properties)
Now I think I'm ready for more. I will turn the Gauss rifle into a pulse laser. It would seem easy enough: I'll make it fire tracers at extremely high RPM, with extremely high bullet speeds to mimic laser pulses. These pulses will have zero impact force, but somewhat good piercing effect. Perhaps an explosive hit effect too. Of course I need bigger magazines, which are actually batteries. Ammo counter could simply show "2000 Ah (amp hours)" or something like that. Also, the thing could be quite heavy, so no running with that weapon. Good side would be the fact that the weapon doesn't jam, as there are no moving parts, superb accuracy and no recoil.
I was thinking on simply converting the existing Gauss gun, as I don't really use it at all, I find it a little too underpowered (note that I'm using Oblivion lost 2.0, which makes all the guns quite useful and deadly.) This way I don't need to make a unique weapon.
I decided the RPM count as 3000 rounds per minute. That's 50 Hz, or 50 rounds per second. Magazine size 500, which means you can fire 20 seconds continuously. I will make the gun quite expensive, but first i'll test it.
Sounds good! (Not that I would use it, I like realistic guns). I think you should make it a unique gun. Because you have to make new ammo anyway, you can also add descriptions for a new gun. Inventory image could be the same, to make things easier. The rest is just copy and paste. Use unique_weapons.ltx and make the gauss rifle the base of your new gun.
If you want I can tell you how to use an existing AMK script in OL2.0 so you could only use that gun if you wear some kind of exo suit.
I went on just modding the existing gauss rifle and it's ammo.
1 - Is there a way making tracers different [COLOR=Red]color?[/COLOR] there is a [tracers_color_table]-section in weapons.ltx but I don't know how to apply it to tracers, and I don't want to change ALL tracers

Propably not, as I have Oblivion Lost 2.0 mod installed and this modifies some of it's files, so it wouldn't work well with non-modded version of the game. Also it replaces the Gauss rifle so you wouldn't be able to use that in the game. And after all this was basically quite easy and simple mod, anyone could do it :)
so! we'll adapt it!! many people have OL so release it for them.
Well, I'll propably give the changed code as soon as im finished tweaking it. I'm still tuning the hit power, I don't want to make it too powerful, but still not too weak. Also the power cell cost and weight needs some tuning. Weapon itself weighs around 5 kg, but I'm also planning to make the cells more heavy, perhaps couple kilograms per magazine (power cell). Each cell contains 500 "shots", and with 50 pulses per second one cell goes empty in 10 seconds.

Yep, it's simply spray and pray :) And the beam goes really fast, so the hit is instantaous. But the beam doesnt kill that easily, you must keep aiming at the target for couple seconds and watch him fry. I even set the damage type as burn, but unfortunately you don't see him burst in flames or something :/
