niphty:

You're right, I shouldn't hijack someone else's thread. Also, the reason I'm making my own armour isn't to "cheat" with. It's an armour I wished was in the game but isn't - a self-repairing one. Reading your armour modding guide gave me the inspiration to make one like that cos of your comments about "healing yourself in an anomaly". It's the next best thing to an armour that doesn't degrade :)

Everyone else: This will be my last post on this subject matter. I have confirmed that with just the armour mod (any kind of armour mod) and nothing else, no "insane damage" occurs even with all them military guys firing at me, even in my own non-uber armour. Damage *does* occur of course, just no crazy insane ones.

The moment I put in Frosty's realism mod, armour protection values seem to go out the window and I last like 3 seconds before I'm flat on the ground - with or without the cheat armour.

The above is FYI for anybody that might be interested.

Ah! This is getting pretty crazy! Trying to keep up with everything on two different forums and it's proving quite a challenge.

I'm going to make the anomalies visible again as it seems, no one seems to like it (I did though :( )

About the armor problems - It might be a bug, i'll need more sufficient testing. I'm modding so much I hardly have time to play more then 10 minutes at a time.

i would say.....10% transparency would rock.

Almost invisible, but still there enough that if you look closely you can see them

Can you please also remove the "STALKER Waddle like a Duck" addition, or tell me what and where to edit it back to the original.

Thanks.

N.B. Found it. First paragraph of effectors.ltx in path gamedata\config\misc

I'd honestly like it if all three detectors were implemented again. I'm not sure why they removed them and just locked it into one detector.. but it'd certainly be worth while to buy the expensive one if it helped to point out anomalies actively to the user =D Ahh well..

I'll definitely be looking into the additional detectors.

Hey, is anyone getting this error:

FATAL ERROR [error]Expression : fatal error [error]Function : CScriptEngine::lua_error [error]File : D:\xray-svn\xr_3da\xrGame\script_engine.cpp [error]Line : 74 [error]Description : [error]Arguments : LUA error: ....r. - shadow of chernobyl\gamedata\scripts\_g.script:20: bad argument #2 to 'format' (string expected, got no value)

I installed the hotfix just now and this mod last night, and these are the only two mods that created a scripts folder. I'mma try deleting the scripts folder, but I don't think that's gonna do much.

Any help'd be appreciated.

-- Griffinhart

EDIT: Nope; deleting the scripts folder (and escape_dialog and xr_wounded) doesn't do anything.

Hmm, try deleting the System.ltx and defines.ltx in the gamedata folder

Hm. It seems it was some other mod that I had that somehow screwed up the game; I reinstalled gamedata with only your mod, some weapon re-textures, SH's Detection mod, and my own alterations and the game works.

With mods this big, I think it's best to only use Skins and other things that are purely for look more than for function.

I just renamed my original uber-modded gamedata "gamedata therhe" and dropped this one in.
