I'm working on an all.spawn file which removes (no replacements) all monster spawns and respawns from STALKER - Oblivion Lost. So far levels 1 - 8 (escape, garbage, agroprom, agr_underground, darkvalley, labx18, bar, rostok, military, and yantar) have been edited with various monsters (cats, dogs, controllers, zombies, etc.) taken out.

This is for you if you:

a) Are scared of monsters, b) Simply don't like 'em, c) Think even heavy radiation shouldn't make those mutants, d) Are tired of wasting ammo obliterating them, e) Want a stalkers only game, f) Or for your own reason you can't stand the monsters...

This is not guaranteed to be 100% monster-free. The initial spawns have been taken out and the respawns have been edited, but there may still be trace amounts of mutants. If you see one in the above-mentioned levels, please report it. I'm just starting out, so yeah. :uhm:

Also this is not guaranteed to be compatible, it may break a few quests and whatnot...

Just d/l the zip file and replace the all.spawn; please remember this is a work in progress.

Not sure what ya mean there, but some people prefer to violate the feelings of stalkers more by getting to shoot them.:)

I can see youve put alot of work into this and kudos, but i think there is hardly going to be a lot of people interested, it seems rather blank if there wasnt any wildlife within the zone, animals always adapt so the "heavy radiation" plus evolution would definately equal to mutants not to mention the zone should have had more mutated vegetation. If you think that no animal would survive in the zone how can we explain normal humans walking around in nothing but jackets and no face masks.

Did you at least leave some mutants in labs?? And if someone is really scared of monsters maybe they are under the recommended age of this game, then they shouldnt really be playing at all. Im predicting next we're going to see F.E.A.R. with no fear/freaky stuff. I can just see the ads for that one.

Commentator: "Are you afraid of scary things? Cant hold a gun? Still watch teletubbies?? No problem! The no gore/violence/action mod is right for you. It will make your copy of My Little Pet Pony game seem like a horror flick."

Sorry, I know I sound like a complete ass but im just expressing my opinion and i thought id add a little humor. :) Its really great though for some people i suppose, not to mention the testing is a pain since i know that everytime you edit all.spawns you have to start a new game, so a thumbs up to all your hard work.

I made this because I think mutants ruin what might otherwise be a good gun RPG... I'm probably crazy but yeah.

P.S. I know no one is really scared of the mutants. That was just my attempt at a little humor.

it wouldn't be stalker without mutants. it would be crysis. and it sucks.

Actually there is a guy whos asking how to remove the cats from cordon, maybe you can give him a hand (maybe giving him that section of the file), i think it would be a very nice tutorial for removing/adding stuff. Also id recommend sticking into the "Playable examples" thread.

As for the mod, maybe theres too many mutants at some points so you could have thinned them out or just make them weaker or something so not so much ammo is required. It often frustrates me that the dog can take like 10 shots in the torso and not die vs 1 shot to the head which is a lil hard to make at greater distances plus all the wild movement.

Maybe if you replaced mutants with more stalkers but then it would make the zone look like a crowded mall. :lol:
