Hi, i have been looking into several mods that stalker has and none so far have got this idea, so i figured i'd post it [1]. is it possible to make all mutants more aggressive and more populated after a blow out or at night? reason for this: night time is when all the good stuff starts happening, and i feel if mutants behaved differently at night it would be really much more of a better gaming experience [2]. ive saw a zombie mod lurking around and i thought that it would be really cool if u'd have like a resident evil effect when it comes to zombies, such as, make them more aggressive, smarter etc... but not just with the zombies, also with the bloodsuckers the dogs, poltergiests and psuedodogs and creatures like that i would like to be agressive and to be activated after the blowout or at night are these possible. and if so can somebody do them... if they do they get 100% credit for creation but i'd like some credit for the idea anyways peace and thanks for your time

possible, probably but theres not a lot of really really experienced modders around here so its not going to happen

What do you mean by aggressive?

They get in your face faster, or they don't run away even when they have one health left?

i mean the monster's behaviour changes instead of dogs only hunting in packs they'd attack you anyway, things like that.... is that possible???

well dogs not being scared of you alone is most likely quite easy to do, but "things like that..." might be a harder thing to mod:)

On monsters, you can increase their spawn numbers, I've seen it in a mod that had about a dozen Snorks spawn in one spot in the tunnel escaping X16. You can also time the spawns to be nocturnal. There are as well certain parameters in the AI that can be used to effectively make them seem more aggressive. Combined with increasing the damage parameters of their attacks, it would definitely make for more challenge. I would like to up the anty here and call your aggressive Zombies and raise you a 28 Days mod where the Zombies are enraged and run, using much more aggressive animation swatting and perhaps even biting victims. Now THAT I'm not sure is possible, but it would definitely be cool. I also don't know exactly how to modify the script to make the above changes, but I'm pretty sure it can be done. Try the GSC modding forum and please report back to us if you have any luck, especially if you find out if someone can do the 28 Days mod, which would probably be over your head and definitely mine.

Heck no! 28 Days Later is an awesome movie, but Rage Infected would be harder to fight than those Chimeras I tried to weaken and ended up making them impervious to gun fire, knife wounds, and Chinese water torture. I went through 10 72mm Rockets (RPG-7), 25 40mm Grenades (M203 or M209 as the game calls it.), 400 or 500 5.56mm rounds, another 300 or so 9x39 PAB9 and another 300 SP-6's, 20 or so knife stabs, one Flame Jet Anomaly spawned from a Teardrop, three or four Explosive barrels, 10 of each grenade type, 20 or 30 7.62 sniper bullets (SVD v2) and about 25 medkits of all colors. I killed one of the three that jumped me before giving up and reinstalling the .ltx file. I have a screen shot of the mess we made.

Zombies need to be slow, lumbering, and high health. Not fast as ****!

Fast zombies scare me...hell zombies freak me out in general. Though the "28 days later" zombies seem all possible..except for the running animation. Once again swatting and biting victums...all animation...damn you SDK! Damn you and the infernal hell that youll eventually sometime in the future once chinese localization is fixed spawn from!

i think the solution will be in the creatures folder... look for m_zombie.ltx and edit the minimal_speed and maximum_speed .... no need an experienced modder for this.

btw if you like the horror stuff, just grab the horror mod from filefront or gsc-forums... that has a lot of zombies and darker nights... with a lots of fog as in silent hill... and just edit that m_zombie.ltx ... and you will get what you want :F
