[WIP] SFH Team present: S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Stories From Hell (Beta)

Intro: This is the Beta of a mod that aims to expand on the story of the zone. New stories are added to existing characters, expanding on their background, and new characters are added with their own tales of the zone.

Features:

  • Introduced 18 new stories directly uploaded into our PDA
  • Each story is connected to a specific cache
  • Introduced PDAs as objects
  • Created new NPC to properly assign PDAs (9 on uniques NPCs and 9 on specific NPCs created on purpose)

This is what is currently being done. Do not think is too little… and we are also very busy Installation: This is a first version of the Escape only, it does not alter the game difficulty, no new objects (except for PDAs), no new textures, but you can understand what our project is grounded on and it will allow us to receive your essential feedback! Possibility of use: This first version has been created for you to try out our work and to help us in developing it. You can use it freely, but only in order to test its capability. It can not be used in other MODs, implemented into your work or used to develop some others. Any help is more than welcome, so there is no need to steal ideas each other, we could even work together! Acknowledgements: Despite the hard work has been done by us, some thanks are a duty:

  • Barin aka pepe_84: for the help and advices that gave us
  • Dezodor: for valuable advices
  • NoSf3rA†U: for advices and testing
  • Henry, Gava, Claysoft'65 and LcK: for the needful help for translations
What it will be: To give you an idea of what the full MOD will be here's to you a taste:
  • New weapons
  • New suits
  • New items
  • New foods
  • New drugs and medikit
  • New equipments
  • Revised for all parameters of weapons and outfits
  • Modified trade and economy in the Zone
  • Revised completely how to use artefacts
  • Incorporated PDA on all unique NPC and on the NPC expressly created on all maps
  • Added multiple texture
  • New unique textures for all NPC, weapons, outfits, mutants and environment
  • Added Ecologist faction
  • Adjusted and implemented some quest
  • Modified the HUD
  • New start menu
  • New sounds and new music
  • Merged the mod repair and repair and trade in Prypiat
  • Anomalies are now invisible and for the identification you need the detector
  • Modified the all.spawn
  • Added the cutted mutants
  • Deleted the Blowout at the Power Plant
  • Additional random psionic areas

And much more! We assure ongoing support and update daily about the progress of mod.

Of course you could send us some stories, writed by yourself, we will be very happy to add them.

Your mod looks awesome. Does it work with any other mods out there do you know? I'm playing the Stalker Rebalanced 1.1 mod, which is excellent, & would like to have some extra missions to go through as I explore.

All you mod makers really need to stop making such great mods. Every time a new one is released, I want to play it. So thanks to all of you, I have still never beaten the game, as I keep starting a new game with your mods installed.

I have downloaded your mod. Before I install it, which patch version does it support? I have not read the readme (if there is one) so i'm not sure. I'll hold off installing any patch until we hear from you.

The mod work fine on 1.0004 and 1.0005, for now. In future it will work only on 1.0005.

Heya Marco,

I tried your mod, but for some reason, I was unable to notice any difference what-so-ever. I played your mod for around 30 mins. so that I was able to finish the first mission for Wolf & a couple others. When does your mod actually begin to take place? What will I notice that will make it obvious i'm now playing your mod?

I had the mod running on a clean install of Stalker patched to 1.0005.

Let me know. I'm looking forward to giving your mod another try.

These are the chages that we have done:

This is what is currently being done. Do not think is too little… and we are also very busy

They are only a little thing for now, but if you kill some NPCs you can find their PDA and you can read their stories in your PDA...

The gamepaly is now under work and I ope to have a final beta of cordon soon.

I hope that it explain you why you haven't find great difference, for now there are 9 new NPCs, the diaries and the stories... These are the news, but for us is not a small work... What we wanted to know was whether you had found interesting parallel stories created and placed in this way.
