Here's another version of the SWAT model. But this is the final hood version concept. -
nice.......how easy is it to skin those? and what program would you use?
It's pretty tough to skin at times. Especially right now due to the fact my hard drive is corrupt. But as it is everything has to be ran in safe mode. Then will crash if tried to be manipulated at times. Programs I use are the ones used for STALKER. -Deep paint 3D. -Adobe photoshop.
Nice work yet again Stalker. It really is refreshing to see someone so dedicated to modding. Also if you want to see dedicated, check this website out: www.projectoffset.com The engine they built is more advanced than Unreal 3.0 :O.
holy shit, three people built that!!!!!!! backon topic, id like to try my hand at skinning at somepoint.......dont know where to start though
To start skinning, learn adobe photoshop. Though to only be able to skin, you have to have a set of uv's.
But when you skin don't you have to attach the texture to certain points on the model? I don't know much about skinning/modelling.
well, i know photoshop pretty well, i aint a master.......but i get by and uv's??
a UV map is a projected image of your model layed flat out where you apply textures to. Then you save your skin as a dds, or bmp, targa format. Then you go ahead in the 3D application and in the shaders you apply your skin file to the shader that's applied to your model and then the skin should appear. here's an example. --stalker--
