what is the difference between OL and ABC mostly? They both have blowouts and darker nights etc..but what are there most unique features the other doesnt bring as well?(not asking for trivial minor things like the kinds of guns or ammo drops)

Oblivion lost- A life, free play, random occurences, mutant raids, skirmishes between factions, army raiding places, new mutants-Dwarf,cat,izlom,chimeara very scary!
Abc doesnt have half of these.

ol is actually partially based on amk, so they are a bit similar to each other, but with other accents, abc is more for the hardcore gamer and lover of a horror time, ol is made to bring it back to the old oblivion lost, and aims for more realism and variety in the game all of them are good, but your taste for a game makes you choose one of them

OL seems like a more exciting version of the zone combined with realistic play....Plus you get to drive cars.
ABC-specific to INFERNO is a very action packed mod, there will be horror time and all sorts of chaos. There are no cars to drive but there are portals that you can place to make travelling easier, some serious guns, explosives, all the cut out monsters, etc....
It is hard to say which one is more fun, they are both excellent mods with much to recommend them. I play Inferno when I want to go nuts and destroy everything, and OL when I want to worry about how much ammo I have every second and be realistic.
Oblivion Lost is an excellent combonation of many mod features and graphics, however I'm currently using AMK for a few reasons, first is AMK features dynamic news, which creates a more realistic feeling of a stalker community (you will get updates from other stalkers on your hud about raids, mutant sightings, bandit attacks, etc). Also because the equipment images are much better, and the quests have been reworked and new and very interesting/funny dialog (like the first stalker you revive with the medkit will tell you a very detailed story of how he survived a bloodsucker). If you could add all that into oblivion lost, that would make it the quintecental mod for stalker bar none
