OK all, I've got the PKM and P90 working in OL2. All I need to do is add the PKM and P90 image into the OL2 version of the ui_equipment_icon.dds. Ive got the images loaded and Ive copied the image of the PKM and P90 across into the OL2 file. Ive also edited the alpha transparency. Now, what files do I edit to tell Stalker the grid size/location of where the images are on the DDS?

This is what my image looks like in JPEG:

ui_icon_equipment.jpg

As you can see, its the same as OL2's image, except I've added the P90 and PKM image to the bottom empty space.

Thanks.

Put a 50x50 pixel grid onto the image and align the new icons inside grid fields (Here is a thread where adding such a grid in photoshop is explained). Then count the numbers of grid fields until you hit the top left field of your item (Start counting at 0 in the top left corner of the image).

Edit: Btw, did you know I made a P90/PKM add-on for OL2.0, where such a dds is included? P90/PKM for Oblivion Lost 2.0, Stalker Downloads, Stalker Singleplayer

Also OL2.1 will have both guns and will be released soonTM.

Hehe, well I know now! :D

Thanks! Mind if I use the DDS image?

Right OK, I've edited w_PKM.ltx and w_p90.ltx so they refer to the correct grid location.

Now how do I do the same to their respective ammo type?

In the same way. :) Their x|y is set in weapons.ltx, where all ammo usually is.

Cool thanks!!

Btw, what ammo does it the P90/PKM take?

the description in the xml file says SS190, but when I buy some from the trader, my ammo still shows 50/0. Surely its should say 50/90 if I buy 90 rounds?

The ss190 seems to be P90 ammo, because the is a ss190 version of it: 5.7x28mm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (called duty round in RL. :P)

PKM uses Russian ammo - of course: 7.62x54mmR - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Strange. I've made sure the ss190 is for sale, and when I buy it, it won't load into the P90.

In stalker, is SS109 and SS190 the same thing and just a typo? or are they different ammo types?

EDIT: Nevermind, sorted. I hadn't realised that there were two types of SS190 round.

the P90 uses the ammo_5.7x28_ss190 type.
