Hello there. :) *tips hat* I've been using faiakes 2.4 mod, and really enjoying, but still... here is my question... What should I edit in the files to make it work with ABC sleeping bag mod (I think i spelled it right... if not, bear with me, I'm getting rusty at writing english...)? Is there any way to do it, or some way to not edit them, but still use the mod? Will it cause conflicts? Thanks in advance, any help or sugestions will be greatly appreciated! :D

Just came to my mind, since I don't really have any other ideas... If I use smart mod manager will I have any success in using the sleeping bag mod and faiakes mod together? Thanks. :D

When I was putting Faikes 2.4 together, I had to remove the "dream mod" from the v.2.3 since it was causing CTDs. Now, the ABC sleeping bag mod may work better. rspeed did some amazing work on SHOC in general, and his sleeping bag just may work. Carefully merge files that are in both mods (like, "items.ltx", etc.) using WinMerge or similar. Copy your current gamedata folder somewhere else beforehand so you can easily restore it if the merge doesn't work. Good luck :)

There are also some brief instructions how to do it in a ABC sleeping bag ReadMe, if you have the original download.

Ok, apparently I managed to have a mild success... I tried merging both mods, putting the files where they should be, and then I came across this one file called "ui_icon_equipment.dds", which I wrote over the one already in the "\textures\ui" folder, to see how things would work. Got into the game, nothing to report, until I reached my inventory and saw that some textures (mainly the explosive barrels and such) were messed up. I thought that might have been because I didn't start a new game, so I started... To my surprise, as I start the new game and enter my inventory, it's seemingly empty, but then I look at the weight and I see "4.9kg/50.0kg" or something like that... Only conclusion I can draw out of this is that the .dds file has to be merged too, since it has to do with textures, but how do I do that?

The file inside the mod folder I extracted did have instructions on how to use it with other mods, it said this:

Go "config" folder and open localization.ltx and look for: "files = " at the end of this big list add ",string_table_abc2" without quote.

Thing is, at the end of the localization.ltx file, which was present in the mod folder I extracted and which I copied then over to the gamedata folder, already had that string added at the end... so I'm really getting confused about all of this... '^_^

Sorry to be a bother, but I do hope that at the end of this all I have it working. Hope I wasn't to confusing in my descriptions, if there's any doubt I'll try to explain it better. Thanks for all the help already given. :D

Weight is in another file (actor.ltx, if I am correct), and should not be connected to files with .dds extensions. Obvious solution should be to keep the overwritten .dds, presumably that this is Faiakes&Natasha one. To edit .dds files you will need NVidia View, free software that can be grabbed at Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies. Or at least you should convert it to .tif or .psd, and then edit with Photoshop, and when finished convert it back to .dds, which is NVidia graphics format. Do not forget to include Alpha Layer(s) since they keep reflection data and another things. So then you will probably merge texture for sleeping bag into the texture file for those custom items. But all those graphics messing should not be real problem. Either you will not have barrels, or the sleeping bag, but game will work. With all functions. The real problem is in merging the .ltx files. If then all is O.K., then is O.K. If it doesn't then the problem is beyond 'forum' solution... or my knowledge.
