Hey everyone, cool site :cool:. I've been playing stalker for a while now and decided to combine some modifications people have made in order to make the game more challenging and realistic. I have noticed in a few of the larger mods that a vision blur effect is used when hurt or exposed to radiation. I've tried to locate the parameters and the fies which creates this effect but alas I have not succeeded. My aim is to blur vision when a hit is taken, a bullet is bound to make your eyes water at least :p. If that's not possible then I wish to recreate the blur effect used in the larger mods. I assume it's something to do with the vodka effector? Or perhaps postprocessors? (I work with sound a lot and I'm also thinking about including some unpleasant ringing noises using synthesizers and ring modulation techniques, but thats a story for another day :)) Any help would really be appreciated. Thanks.

You can locate the postprocess effect used for the vodka from config\misc\postprocess.ltx The effector itself is called alcohol.ppe

Thanks Darius. Forgive my ignorance but how would I apply this information to the ltx files in order to accomplish the effect im after? Would it just be a case of inputting something like the following... [effector_fire_hit] pp_eff_name = alcohol.ppe pp_eff_cyclic = 0 cam_eff_cyclic = 0 if so, could I add 2 effects, a sound and the vision blur for example. I'm getting a little confused as I'm using the postprocess file from the abc inferno mod, and comparing with the original and there doesn't seem to be any noticble difference between the two. sorry lol, thanks

It's cool nice one mate For the record, I did manage to create the vision blur, by using this entry in the postprocess.ltx file. [postprocess_rad] ppe_file = alcohol.ppe radius_min = 0.3 radius_max = 0.9 It brings on white flashes and vision blur when exposed to radiation, but there must be another way which is probably more stable as my game crashes a bit more now. I know nothing about code lol, this is my second day altering it :D

I'm pretty sure the bind_stalker script file has something to do with this effect as I deleted it and it was removed. The problem I have now is finding the script and other files which control it, I've been at this all day lol
