Might have been said before but I forget. Thought it would be cool to modify slugs for the shotguns to be explosive. Maybe a scaled down version of the already existing grenade shells with less splash damage. Make quick work of snorks and zombies with a lower risk of personal damage at close range.:naughty:

It would probably be easier to take the 6 shot grenade launcher, change the visual to the spaz 12, increase the ammo, insert the spaz 12 reloading animation, increase the velocity of the grenade, and use the spaz 12 sounds than it would be to change the shotgun ammo to incorporate the explosion. If i get some time tonight i will try it out.

and yes it has been said, and no it wont help as much with snorks and zombies because the blast radius will get you also. if they are far enough away that a grenade is safe to use then the 6 shot launcher is just as effective as a shotgun with exploding ammo.

I tried it, but i think i was too tired to concentrate on it, It didnt work needless to say.p

I believe one of the difficulties is that the launcher uses grenade ammo, but the ammo itself references an external item called a fake missle. So in order to make explosive ammo, you need to have a unique fake missle that is referenced by your unique grenade, which is fired by your rg-6 which looks like a shotgun.......It makes my head hurt just thinking about it. I may try it again later, but honestly, i think an auto shotgun is a lot more effective. All you are really gaining with explosive bullets is a small amount of frag damage, since you cannot rationalize a huge explosion from a tiny shell. And if that is exactly what you want, then why not just use the rg-6 and increase the ammo load and firing rate? Or take a regular gun and max it out cheater style like so many first time modders do?

On a side note I love how the first thing a lot of people want to do when they start modding is to get an invincible suit of armor and a rapid fire super gauss rifle with unlimited ammo......

Makes me want to mod a weapon that teleports you into one of those concrete cylinders that you cannot escape from, like the one directly opposite the sewer entrance to Borovs camp.......Lets see you use your super killer gun to get out of that......
