Ol2.2 w Arsenal

The trader in Yantar wont move to meet me. Any suggestions? Heard from somewhere about decreasing actor density to fit through the window but who knows.

Um never heard of actor density. It happens now and again with all traders like barkeep, you can just stand in front of the window and then quick save and load. Then it should trigger him to walk over. If thats not the case then your problem may go deeper and we would need more info like which mods you are running and if you edited anything in particular, etc.

ol2.2 w/ arsenal mod

quick save/load hasnt worked. Only thing altered was artifact prices. Could the trader be over weighted with too many items? Then again ol2.2 wasnt designed for arsenal.

Unfortunately the scientist is one of the buggiest traders. Any changes to him may cause him to act odd. In another thread editing the trader files has caused him to walk through the wall and stand in front of the bunker door. If the trader was over-weight he would have automatically dropped the last items in his inventory until he reached a weight lower then in his file. You may try increasing the weight he is able to carry but i doubt it would change things.

Stoner post the trader_ecolog.ltx file's first four lines here. Supernatur4l was referencing my mod where I was having some difficulty with Sakharov. I just figured out what it is in mine, but I need to see those lines to figure out if it is the same for you.

Sorry, but I'm an idiot... :bawl: I guess missing one weapon out of 10 trader files should be considered good, but it took much too long to identify. It would have been easier if the game identified mistakes instead of randomly modifying in-game physics. :wtf:

@Stoner Open your file with something like Notepad++ that will give you the line count and make sure that you have the same number of lines for each pair of [sell] & [supply] (e.g. ecolog_generic_buy & supplies_start should have the same number of lines and therefore entries). Most likely you are selling something that you are not supplying the trader with. If you cannot find it then PM me with a link to the file and I will take a look at it for you.

If you do find and fix it, you must leave the level and then return for it to take effect. For some reason this is stored in the savegame, so it may still appear broken when you reload. Just run back to the edge of the train yard map, turn around, and step right back into Yantar.

I'm in the same boat as the OP. However, whereas most are seeing this with OL 2.2 + Arsenal, I manually merged the Arsenal from OL 2.1 to this. However, I dont think that should matter, as I ended up with the same issue anyway.

Unsure right off what you mean by your wording, but once I find the file I'm sure it'll make more sense. I'll dive in shortly and go look in the file.

the problem is not proper trader file. probably the guy has something missing from stock while he has the item in selling section, or something similar, missing stuff mostly. this can result xrgame crash too.

EDIT: Found the "trade_ecolog.ltx". First four lines are as follows -

[trader] buy_condition = ecolog_generic_buy sell_condition = {+yan_kill_brain_done} ecolog_after_brain_sell, ecolog_start_sell buy_supplies = {+yan_kill_brain_done} supplies_after_brain, supplies_start

Is this correct?

Well, it hasn't crashed me for sure. All I know is that once X16 is completed, he stops functioning entirely. Before that, the problem can at least be remedied by reloading a savestate.
