When i first got the game it was great until it started crashing. Later when the first patch came out everything was working fine. But i lost interest in playing this game.

Now after so many months i downloaded ALL the patch including the latest 1.0006. I am using the Worldwide patch which is in English. I installed all the patches from patch 1.0001 to patch 1.0006.

After playing for a day i decided to download the "X-46 Advanced Battlearmor Suit v2.0" & "ALL ARMOR Mod(5-24-2007)" Mod. The mod worked fine for the first time. After i started the game the next time i was not able to play it.

Every time the game crashed when i tried to load a save game . Then i deleted the gamedata folder and started to load the files, but still the game kept crashing.

Please Can anyone kindly give me a solution to this problem?

hi,

I think you might find that most mods run on 1.0004 and only a few actually work on 1.0005 even less on 1.0006. unless you play multiplayer there is no need to actually patch past 1.0004. it also sounds like you have corrupted save games, just to check start a new game, save it and reload that, if you still crash do a complete reinstall and check which mods are known to be compatible before you install them. hope that helps

I have been reading alot of conflicting information about how Stalker works or doesn't work. It seems that the main problem with Stalker is it's "memory" system or "save" system. For example : If you press F6 and "quicksave" , you expect that "Auto-save" is not effected , and will still be set to whereever that last "autosave" occurred. But it doesn't , it copies the "quicksave" spot. Also , if you click "ALL" , it takes you back to the very beginning and doesn't show you any choices. So , it led me to believe that the "save" system is not developed properly , meanwhile the memory will corrupt the game files overall. Since I considered all of this , I read about how setting your pagefile to match your system memory by limiting the pagefile or (memory) to 3000mb or (3gb). Take 3000mb and subtract your memory from that. Then set your pagefile to reflect the remainder , it works for me. Example : You have 1000mb (1gb) of onboard memory. 3000mb (requirement) 1000mb (onboard memory) ------- 2000mb (pagefile size maximum) What may be happening is that the more memory you have the worse the corruption of savegame is. Base the pagefile on 3gb and don't quicksave at all , rely upon the "auto-save" function to load your previous progress. If I were you I would completely remove your game , search Stalker on your computer and delete all instances or files , re-install with a maximum 3gb theory for memory & pagefile combined and enjoy. Note : I would also make sure to restart your system after you delete everything. That way nothing will exist when you intall stalker again. Hope this helps as it has solved alot of my problems since I adjusted my pagefile to reflect the 3gb theory.

Thanks a lot for your suggestions. I have 2 GB RAM & my pagefile is 2046mb. I don't play Stalker Multiplayer. I will try both of the above mentioned solutions. Thanks a lot.

Most mods require that you make a new game because of the crash problems.
