I'm too cool to Post

Morning all, I re-installed S.T.A.L.K.E.R. last night after upgrading my NVidia 8800GTS 320 drivers to the current ForceWare drivers version 169.21. I then installed the patches 1.0001 and 1.0003 and then installed Faiakes Mod 2.3. I then began a new game but before I'd even got 5 minutes in, the game bluescreened and then my PC restarted. I thought perhaps that it was graphics driver related so uninstalled the lastest drivers and reloaded version 158 which I had archived on my hard drive but it happened again when I tried looking through the binoculars in the game. I had previously installed the game on my windows partition (C:) but the game is now installed on a separate partition (D:). I am not convinced that this is the cause of the problem however but I thought it would be informative to mention it. The current spec of my PC is as follows: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 2GB DDR dual channel Crucial Ballistix memory 250GB SATA drive 320MB 8800GTS graphics card I've not installed any updates on my motherboard driver as yet but if someone is aware of an incompatibility relating to the latest NVidia ForceWare drivers I'd appreciate some feedback... Cheers...

I would update all your drivers to the most recent version (including Chipset/Mobo drivers) and try again.
Not sure if having the game on another partition would cause any problems
