Heyy. Rite, this is my problem. Ever since i updated my STALKER to 1.0003 my lighting has completely gone crap...
The problem lies with actuall light sources eg camp fires, the flashlight and lamps/mounted lights, the lighting doesnt realy work anymore, its all "choppy" and looks all sharp and is basically broken, my character casts a square like massive shadow, my flashlight only works at certain places and depends on what/where im looking at. But HDR works fine.
Before my update to 1.0001 then 1.0003, which i did on the same day, with no comp restarts in between, and i lost my saves. Lets lol @ me :( , it was all ok, but now, it can only be described as broken. The light also quickly flashes and changed shape, usually into a more complex spikey shape, then back again -_-
Now, the problem may lie with my moding, as i install different mods every day and do edit some files, but then when i completely remove my "gamedata" folder and the user.ltx the problem persists, even with a complete mod and changed file free game ! Also the problem wont lie with my computers performance at all, as i bought it 1 month ago and it cost £1600, 8800 GTX - dual core etc.
So tbh WTF is going on, and i am realy sad about this, as i lost my save, and have infact been waiting for this game since i heared about it in 2002... please help me,
Thanks, replys will be much appreciated :)
Below is a screenshot of some of the lighting gayness:
This is meant to the common lighting, from a mounted light.
And this is meant to be my flashlight.....
That's the same problem I'm getting. Updated to v1.0003 and now I can't see anything in the underground bunker. I've lowered my lighting setting to static but still can't see a damn thing. PC Specs: A64 3700 2GB DDR500 RAM GeForce 8800GTS card Anyone got any suggestions?
I solved the issue myself by installing the latest ForceWare drivers from NVidia. That did the trick and i'm now running the game using dynamic lighting again. Bio, give that a try man...
istto force full dynamic lighting on an ati radeon 9800 pro
