SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!! Iv played through most the game with no problems, i am now on the priypat level and just want to finish the game. I have no mods/ patches installed or applied. I am playing game as original except have added " -no prefetch" to target line in shortcut to improve graphics. Anyway my problem is that whenever i try to load my quicksaves it goes through all the prompts down the bottom of the screen as usual until it gets to "CLIENT : SYNCHRONIZING" after about 20 seconds it comes up with the error message: "A crash has been detected by bugtrap. To help the development process, this program will try and gather the information about the crash, and the state of your machine at the time of your crash. This data can then be submitted to product supportor saved to a file". My autosave still loads fine. Iv tryed going back to the menu and manually saving but still comes up with same error when i try to load it. Why has it only started doing this now? and what do i do? THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN HELP!!

Are you sure that you don't run any mods? Because one of the scripts is messed up. Error reported by _g.script. I can only advise to reinstall stalker.

I keep getting this error message come up, XRay Engine XR_3DA.exe caused BREAKPOINT in module "C:\Program Files\THQ\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl\bin\xrCore.dll" at 001B:01837CB5, xrDebug::backend()+165 byte(s) I have followed all the instructions on this mod, yet it still wont work. Could someone please give me some advice on what to do in this situation, it would be much appreciated. I am also using vista, would that be a problem?

Please post the crash log that you get, when you hit CTRL-V inside a text editor, after a crash.

Otherwise you could open your Stalker screenshots folder (in common files or how that's called) go one folder up into "STALKER-SHOC" then into "logs" and post the content of xray_nameless.log.

But please try first to post the CTRL-V log, because it is much shorter and usually sufficient to get a hint.

i can run the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, but when i try and play with the mod, its starts to screw up

That's not what I asked you for. Is it a "bug trap" message? Then you also have a log with valuable information.

Edit: Also, do you use a cracked executable? We had some cases where cracked executables would cause crashes with mods, even if the "original" game works. XR_3DA.exe is the exe that usually gets cracked, so ...
