heya guys. I have problems loading quicksave. Ever since i met The Doctor in Streloks hiding place in agroprom i cant load my quicksaves, it just crashes to desktop. If i save manually it works fine, so does all my autosaves. ony the quicksaves give me the problems. Im in red forest now, on my way to scorcher and i have to save manually all the time... :( I tried deleting the quicksave file so it makes a fresh one but no luck, still crashes. What can i do? Anyone?

Are you running any mods? What patch version are you running on?


If there is no image, Mikey broke something...

Im running few simple retextures and Marco's toz-34 mod. Also i made few minor changes for barman to sell, attachments and made my g-36 to shoot PAB rounds. Thats it... The thing is, all these mods ive ha since the very beginning and they have been running prefectly. Red forest and army warehouses are awfully laggy but its to be expected i guess, army warehouses has loads of people and red forest is windy and dusty whicha makes my graphics card choke and cough.... Ow and its 1.0005

Try changing this line in your system.ltx file. It is about in the middle of the file. (Around line 568) current_server_entity_version = 6 Change the 6 (or whatever number it is) to 7 and see if that helps.

Heya Fatrap. Thx for the help man, it helps with the future saves, atleast so far. Closest save i could load without crashing is in cordon, when u return from dark valley after x18.... Goddamn! I have to go to Yantar again, and then return to cordon for guide. Is there really no way i could get my newest saves back?

Sorry to barge in on you guys, but I have a quick question about saves also. :confused: Are there only 2 saves at any given time? Does it change with the level of difficulty? Or can I edit something in the system.ltx file to add more saves? thanks

Sorry crimsonspec..... any of the saved games that you tried to load are probably corrupted. This is a result of the patch 1.0005. It only effects folks who were running mods when they updated to 1.0005. It would have been nice if they had warned us about that before we updated!

mrdak... there are only 3 "default" ways to save games... the quick save, the autosave and the named "hard" save. NatVac has found a way to make "hard" saves as easy as you do quick saves.... you will have to go to the GSC mod discussion forums to read about it or to ask him about it. The Thread that it is on is in the Mod Discussions forum and it is titled How about a joint effort in fixing S.T.L.A.K.E.R...?
