Hey, I want to convert the halo map file, to *.pk3. Does ne1 know what i could do to be able to convert this file?:type: Now if u do know that would be great. Then u guys will have a new map :)

well a pk3 is just another way of naming a zip file when it all comes down to it ...as far as i know. but you can't just take a map form halo and rename it ....it has to be redone using the correc software.

So what u mean is.. i can't use the *.map file at all. it has to be completely re-made? i don't know how to use the map maker programs even with the tutorials. I can't see the site at the moment, coz of some bug. But i have been there to try and make the map and can't get the hang of it.

its easy to create just rename it to (watever).pk3 then it turns to a pk3 easy as that

thats easy m8 all you got to do is go to the bsp files right click on it go to winzip and click add to zip then name it as an example mymap.pk3 check the pics below to help ya:nodding:

If i'm not able to do this, could i send some1 the *.map file and see if u could do it. Its roughly 15mb so it may take awhile. I wouldn't expect my name to be on this due to i would not have done nething. I just really want to get this map on the game.

duude you have to convert the .map file to bsp! so that the game can read it! in your radiant: Click Bsp and choose a kind of converting i´d prefer: "q3map2: (Final) BSP -meta ,-vis, -light -fast -filter -super 2 - bounce 8 " or "Fullvis" the first one looks better and the compiling time is much shorter, but many guys reported light problems to me then.. n e way try them out i dunno what your problem is with those tutorials... it couldnt be easíer... ne way hope this helps :cheers:
