You don't need to make a new shader for every custom texture... so i think it is better to name your shader something like [mapname].shader
Thanks for that help, tis p.kewl :)
Was wondering now if anyone knew how to insert models into the map (I insert one and it says shader not found - where's the shader?!)?
And the glass problem still remains. Where's the glass texture that's in shop2, that's just clear and shiny? Failing that, how do you make your own glass? :)
Thanks for help :)
If you want to map you must extract ALL textures, shaders and models to your harddisk. You probably did this already for the textures but you also must do that for the shaders and models.
When you load a textureset in Radiant you must have a small white line around the textures. This means Radiant found a shader for it (shaders contain a lot of important information on how to treat the textures, example for the material or lights).
To add models you have to do that via the right-click menu (same menu as for your pickups like weapons, backpacks, ammo, etc).
To make glass you have to use func_glass and put a glass-texture on it (dont know where to find that texture - i am doing this by head).
Thanks for that GODh, Models are cool now :) Also I found the Glass texture that I wanted, so that's also p.kewl :)
What I'm having problems with is Plant models - Really don't know how to get their textures up, it just inserts the model with the no shader texture. If you could tell me how to resolve this problem I'd me muchly happy :)
This map is coming along really well (it's not a 2 day rush job like the last one, there's caulk and everything here!). Just spent 2 days on 1 room :) I've also jotted down about 15 pages of notes on it so far! Details everywhere!
