i have a door that opens with a trigger, (at the same time the trigger activates 3 NPC's that come after you but that's beside the point now). i have made the trigger very small, but still when the player stays in the trigger the door keeps getting activated and keeps on opening. so, my question is; -how can i make the trigger activates once, or no, i have seen under N from the trigger that you have to give it a key/value; ONCE-ONLY. but, is it key; once value; only. i think that that is not it, or is it?

so the door needs to open only once? if that's the case, make the door stay open forever! key//value "wait" "9999999999999999999999999" or something simular...

of course, stupid me! i did look by the trigger, but indead; the ''wait'' key in the door does the trick!

with all that thinking you get sometimes lost and than i get starting to look in the wrong way. thanks l.b

yeah, what i like most is trying to get around scripting, with this i mean, try get things working whitout a script. for instance a npc who opens a door and start running towards you. there is a script for, but it's also possible by placing nav.points, of course a npc. he is 2,5 meters from the door, and both are connected with a trigger. you only have to get the player in such angle to the door that he can't look right away into the dooropening. sometimes the npc isn't already spawnt when the door opens.

it works the same as the script version.

i did change the playerstart deathmatch from your map in a playerstart, than i compiled it , but when i did play it i didn't see the door anymore. think is because your map is dm. but i know what i did wrong, i didn't have a origin brush in it. stupid he, but i can't remember me that there was one in the tu from modsonline, i will look into that.

( nr 2 from 4 is finisht, will put screenshots on my website tomorrow). leon

i didn't have an origin brush and it worked... but i'm glad it works now :D
