Hi, i'm going to be organizing an effort to put user made maps into rotation for inf and to be considered for cal-i...although i wish i had some smattering of uber 1337 mapping skills i dont...but what i hope to provide is liason postion between the inf community and the map makers, because currently it appears that there is no such communication. this is evidenced when u notice all the custom maps are horrible for inf...
First, i would like to test out this map for cal inf streets if u check out the map and put it on inf you'll notice although its a really nice, crisp well done map the brief case placement is a joke...if some1 could put the briefcase in the bank and the reverse the spawn points we would test it on servers...also this map has a nice feel to it iraq attack but the map is way too small...if some1 could A. fix the door by the pool b/c last time i played it it warped u into the pool when u went near it??? and B. add a back section, both lower and upper where the 2 big green doors are and put the case back there! So there is actually some places to go...C. would prbly need a 3rd entrance in it so there isnt a choke point...maybe a hole blown in the right hand side? so ppl can walk through
That just 2 instance of maps with potential but crippling problems from a cal inf point of view, if any1 could fix them there would be much <3
Also we really need some maps that are inf orientated....if u go to www.caleague.com and select any division then click on forums and go down to the sof2 invite forums you'll see a couple of threads that talk about alot of problems with current maps and what would make them fun....ie....more simple, not overly large or complex....no obvious choke points ect ect...
Well we cant fix any of this stuff from our end, so heres to hoping that maybe the mapping community can help us out.
EEEEK  is there no1 around that plays inf that wants to help a brotha out?
Tbh, i hardly play INF as i can't stand a complete team "camping" that damn case (i had the same prob with rescueing hostages in CS)... but have you tried Goldrush yet?? You still can play the standard gametypes like INF, and many of its maps support INF too (like Jungledust, Factory Assualt, Chop Suey, Supply22c and more) :smokin:
