ok i made my new map got my ladders working but i also had a further problem i didnt mention my textures so i added the pictures to see if anyof you can help me i only want information to do with my problem:micro: if u help me i promise a :beer:

as you will see my problem is the black on the walls it should be like the windows

I suggest u to run a FullVis BSP option (or some 'final' option if u r using GTK 1.4) in order to check if the problem is caused by some error that bocks the lighting step of compile process.

U can also check ur 'junk' file (u 'll find it in ur "Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix" main dir.): it would tell u if an error is occured during compile process.

all right u see the warning couldnt find image ...... parts marked in red make sure these are used textures maybe u can try to put some other textures on the walls and see what then happens now do i get a beer ???

U r [COLOR=DarkRed]tryin[/COLOR] to get a fullVis, but the process is blocked at the first step (see the Junk): so u cant get ur map enlighted.

U see: your map is

********************** ******* leaked ******* **********************

and i think there is also some evil brush or degenerated plane that cause the problem.

Then try this:

1) go to Plugins > bobtoolz > brush Cleanup (delete all higlihted brushes);

2) Find the leak/s and fix it/em: use some debug option from Bsp menu, for example: "Q3map2: (single) BSP -meta". Then follow the red line and fit the hole (check also if some external structural brush is turned detail by mistake: press Ctrl+D to see only structural brushes);

3) save ur map w/ a new name and run again a FullVis.

i have one question what is a leak... not a "leak" but one in gtk...?!
