How do you convert a .ZIP to a .PK3, I tried to do it by the Tutorial, but it is not specific enough. I tried opening it with Wordpad then converting it into a pk3, but It didnt work In the game. I am using a Trial version of Winzip.

Thanks.

To make life a little easier try this:

Make sure you have show "file extensions for known file types" checkbox ticked..

SlayerX you will probably find your file is named "bluechrome.pk3.zip"

How basic do I go ??

Its under windows view option here is a step by step guide, by step 2 i bet you know what I'm on about:

  • Open up My computer
  • top row menue go to view
  • Then folder options
  • Then click the middle tab "view"
  • You will see the show file extensions

Hope that helps ?

say you zipped your crap up into mycrap.zip. In the folder you see mycrap.zip just sittin there. Right click on it and go to rename. Delete everything and do mycrap.pk3. If a message comes up press OK. There you are done. If it isn't working, you either one made your paths wrong or two used the wrong files. Please apply common sense when you do things.
