Is there an easier prog out th3r3 than the Raven SkinMOD 2 make player skins? I'm a newbie @ this, and tha SkinMOD seems a bit complic8ted.

Is there NEway 2 use Pakscape 2 edit player skins with PSP?

thanx for that info. Is there a tutorial on skinning, using pakscape anywhere?

I'm fingering it out, but i'm trying to paint using existing models in the sof2/base_skins.pak

This is what I am doing: I opened the skins.pak file with pakscape and went into the models/characters/female_face directory and got the f2_deviant1.png + f_deviant1.jpg + h_deviant1_pony.jpg files. from there i went into the models/characters/female_skirt directory and got the a_deviant1.jpg file.

Now(whew!) before i experiment in painting, how do i use those to combine them into a single player skin, and use it?

I understand that. Thx for the help. It seems to be different editing player skins, compared to weapon skins, tho.

Will combining all those files I mentioned above work themselves into a playable skin?? If so...where would I find the new player skin when i start up in multiplayer? Would I find a player icon that looks like it or would it replace an already existing skin?

Can you take one from one hair, one from one sleeves, one from one skirts, one from one faces, etc... from completely different characters? would it combine all those aspects, and still work? I know it might look a bit weird.... In trying to explain it better, it would be like a mr. potato head!

Sry bout all the questions, but I'm a newb at this, and I want to make sure I do it correctly....I wouldnt want to hafta shell out $50 for a new game! LOL!!!

I think you can edit an existing character, and save it as a new one. Just make sure you dont overwrite the original, as it will be lost, and you might not be able to play it on a pure serv. I'm not sure where you might be able to find a replacement original skin if it has been messed up. That's a good question....NE-1 know the answer to that?
