lethal banana did already give you the answer, still, sometimes it can happen that your 'standig' in a other brush. when you select the brush of your choise you don't see anything happening. than that's because you select the brush your 'standing' in, and because your standing in it you can't see that that is the brush you did select.
(when you don't understand this, it doesn't matter. it's a bit hard to explane) leon.
Thanks SPY. Another question: when i make a room how can i give the outside walls a different texture then the inside walls ?
when you use shift and klick on a brush the hole brush is selected, as you know. when you use shift AND Ctlr togetter and klick than on a brush side you will see that only that side of the brush will be selected. when you want to select only one side of many brushes at the same time. for instance you want to give one side of a large wall made out of more brushes a texture; than use shift and ctlr.hold down your mousebutton and move it over the brushsides, one after the other will be selected. it saves time and works quicker.
lot's of succes Ker, leon.

spy already gave you the answer, but whats also handy to know is that if you hold ctrl, alt and shift, you can select multiple sides of a brush, this can save you a lot of time if you need to give a lot of brushes the same texture!
i'm sorry, (stupit me), lethal banana is right!!!!
