Whenever I make/edit a shader and try to open it in shadered2 this comes up: "Bad File Format( "models/weapons/m590/m590") (Owned by shader "m590") Couldnt read models/weapons/m590/m590 Continue Recieving this Message?" If Click yes then the same message pops up for all the textures in the shader file. Then after the messages the shader is just a black square with "m590" under it. Can someone help me? It also happens with shaders directly from working skins i download off sof2files.com.

Did you extract your textures to the right folders?

I created a new floder, and the inside of it are 2 folders, models and shaders. Inside of shaders is my shader file. Inside of models is: weapons and inside of weapons is chrome and m590. Inside of m590 is the skin files and inside of chrome is my chrome texture. Here is my shader file too. models/weapons/m590/m590 { q3map_nolightmap q3map_onlyvertexlighting { map models/weapons/m590/m590 blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE_MINUS_SRC_ALPHA depthWrite rgbGen lightingDiffuse } { map models/weapons/m590/m590_spec blendFunc GL_SRC_ALPHA GL_ONE depthWrite detail alphaGen lightingSpecular } { map models/weapons/chrome/chrome.tga blendfunc gl_dst_color gl_src_color rgbGen identity tcGen environment detail } }

It's ImageReady and it comes with Photoshop 6 and 7. I first create the images in Photoshop and then the frames in ImageReady. To the shader guy: Try chrome/chrome instead of chrome/chrome.tga, and make the image a jpg.

that wasnt the problem, the shader program just doesnt like me ;) I got them to work i just cant preview em.

Let me ask again: Are the textures in the right folders? If you just create a new folder for your textures, it's not going to work.

Yep that was the problem. At first i thought you meant it was in models/weapons/m590/ inside the created folder, but i was wrong me before fragger's help :clueless: me after :-D Thanks!
