ok i need some help with skies first what textures do i use in gtk radient for the skies and 2nd what do u do to make the skies emit a light from them like a sun source insted of building millions of light entities and also can any1 tell me were i can get some light beam shaders? if there is any
I don't use GTK myself, but i think it works the same for skies:
In the textures/skies directory you find big pictures (the sky itself) but also small blue textures. Use the small blue ones in your map (check the names).
If you wanna change the lightsettings of a skytexture you will have to create a new shader for it (and use the new blue texture).
Don't know about the 'beam' (i saw a 'corona' post somewhere, is that the same thing??)
beam like a hole in a wall and light comin through it leaves like a light beam trial if u know what i mean
this question about that lightbeam was asked a week ago, i don't know if it was you that did ask it. when you look under search you will find some answers about it, (it was something like that you have to build the beam yourself with brushes, not solid ones. the effect should work with some shader. but you have to look at that other thread.)
it was me that asked for that corona thingy. a corona is the light blurb that you could put in a lamp model, so it looks like if it burns, because all the light models are dark. also sthe light textures in sof2 have a corona, it's the light that comes of of the light texture.)
if you wanna edit a shader, copy the original shader, edit it, save it as a new shader ==> yourmapsky.shader or something and add the new shader name to the shaderlist.txt which is in base/shaders
