I can fix the texture problems with bevelling and end-caps by changing the texture settings, but textures on flat surfaces have shrunk very small and are repeated. For example insted of one 32x32 texture face, I'm getting sixteen shrunk 8x8 faces. No amount of messing with the texture options seems to fix it.

Also can I run mp3 files without them being in a pk3 file? Do they have to be in a subdirectory of the base folder?

when puttin texture onto a brush press "s" key and make it fit scale 1 by 1

no it's not that phrozt, the global scaling of textures in the map is wrong.

it's easy to fix, go to selection and then scale, it should be set to either 1.0 or 0.125 i'm not sure, but you can figure that out
