I'm using GtkRadiant 1.2.11 and I'm trying to add the sky texture like the one in the Shop under siege map.
I can't remember what the texture is called or what I should enter in the SkyTexure worldspawn parameter.
Can anyone help me?
Hey there, I'm assuming that's the one with the building's right? And I'm assuming you want the name of the sky texture right? I use SDK and the one sky texture I'm using in one of my maps for my mod is arm1 and that's the one with the buildings, so.... Try that... Pretty sure that's the answer to your question...

It's the map with the helipad and the "window cleaner cradles".
and you want the sky texture? I'm pretty sure that's arm1...

I can't seem to get the skytexture to work.
I've made a hollow box around my map, with the texture I want, all that I get is the texture tiled over the box faces.
I've tried setting the box to have the texture air5 and setting worldspawn/SkyTexture to air5, air5_up air5_dn etc but that does nothing.
Maybe I'm missing something, any ideas????
All those skytextures come with small blue sky-"textures"... pick one of them!
If not sure which one to pick, check the sky-shader... it tells the names + settings (textures, light, etc) :agreed:
I did pick one, I have tried eact of the above on thier own, tried SkyTexture air5 in the worldspawn entity then tried SkyTexure air5_up in there plus the other air5 textures none of the worked properly then I tried putting a box over the entire map made it hollow with the texures on all the internal faces air5 etc all that did was tile the texures on the faces.
I try to understand what is going wrong but i can't (i assume you use those small blue textures)...

What does it do, and does it not do??
I create a box around my map with for example the texture air5_up etc (except sky5 see below), that just tiles the texture all over the faces of the box.
When I try setting the texture for the box to air5. I get the same effect as if I hadn't put a box over the map (ie all the previous frames are superimposed on each other). so I then set the worldspawn key SkyTexture to air5_up. Still the same effect of the previous frames being super-imposed on each other).
What I want to do is give the map a nice bright sunny day texture as in air5_up.
Sorry I don't think I'm explaining it properly  I probably could do with a good ====> :smack:
