ive just finished a replacement model for the mp5 (all it needs is a proper skin), and its ready to be moved from qc/md3 to glm (thanx fragger007)
although from this point on ima total newb lol, does anyone know what parts of the inview/wpn file i need to edit to get the model into mp?
and if anyone also happens to be into the animations, the clip on the model wont reload cos its not animated rite, how do i make a reload animation for it? or is there a way i can use the clip from the original mp5 model?
<< its a ump, ss in attachment
umm i think u need to smooth it. http://www.paposo.com/Advanced/smooth.html this may help. this will make ur model, smooth and pretty. :) besides that thats all of my expertise :)
thx, soon as i get back ima run it thru that
ive managed to skin the clip...yay lol check the attachment
omg and i thought re-texturing a skin completely is annoying, starting from scratch is just plain gayness
and i cant put a noise filter on it for a plastic texture cos the polygons stretch and smudge it -_-
neways, now to move onto the rest...lol
hey superfly it looks nice man really did u pull it of to convert is into a glm
if its a glm file it will be easy to skin that wat i do lol
yer frag i found a viewer that loads up .md3 files and it can convert it to .glm
trinity u should skin it in milkshape 1st, thats what ima doing then when im done ill move it to .glm
u should skin it in milkshape 1st, thats what ima doing then when im done ill move it to .glm[/QUOTE] how can u skin it so nice when i do that i get an really wrong texture that doest fit its all misshaped and i cant make a whole texture like with the original weapon textures i have to texture every box cilinder apart its really annoing
make it for ak47 it would b cool
frag, in milkshape ya gotta select a group under the groups tab. then under the materials tab, make a new material (gray spehere comes up), then see t hose 1 or 2 buttons that says ''? click on that and itll let u browse for an image file.
select ur skin and now the gray sphere should have that skin in it but all jumbled up. with the groups selected, click on ASSIGN.
now go to WINDOWS and choose TEXTURE CO-ORDINATE EDITOR, under that pull down field select the group u wanted and it should show up as lines and dots over ur skin.
aaaaahhh tyvm man i got it oh man i dont know how to thank u man have a beer
