I'm sorry if this has been covered before but i was unable to find what i want to know anywhere in the forums. I recently replaced the m60 on my server with a gattling gun. It works fine and is a cool weapon with cool sounds. (Rotating barrels would've been REALLY cool.) The only thing i would like to change about it is the rate of fire. It still uses about 10 rounds per sec like the m60 did. (And most of the other weapons i note). What i would like to know is whether or not it is possible to alter the rate of fire for an individual weapon or am i stuck with what i have? I have been able to alter afew of it's characteristics but was unable to find the appropriate setting to edit it's rpm. Any ideas? Any help would be very much appreciated.

its possible. what this would be would be a mod (like the uzi in ics, or a hundred other mods with this done) you edit the sof2.wpn. id guess the volume option under m60 should work. hope it helps have fun

Thanks for the response. If you mean the WPN. file in the mp folder then I am unable to find any way of altering this setting. I am stumped. Should I be looking elsewhere? Once again, thanks. ps. Does anybody know of a way to alter tdm to classic tdm without altering loads of other stuff?

Thanks for the resonse. Volume you say? I thought this was a sound setting or something! I'll look into it. Thanks for your help.

Nope. No luck. Altering the volume setting in my WPN. file didn't seem to make the slightest difference to the rate of fire. I'm at a loss, but thanks anyway dude.

Add a line to your sof2.wpn file to any weapon you want to change. The cvar is mp_firedelay (value)

Thanks for the response. With a bit of experimantation I was able to get about 16 rounds per second out of it. This seems to be the limit but it's still quite effective. (Any more may be bordering on the noobish.) :) Once again thanks for the help. p.s. As a point of interest has anyone else had a faster fire rate from a weapon?

I have, when no model is displayed, the sucker will pretty much fire instanaeously.... madness I tell you, madness!

|Thanks for the response dude. Since my last post i have since also discovered by tinkering that adding the line "mp_pellets to the wpn file allows you to specify the number projectiles that actually fire when a round is fired. (like the shotgun.) Although, these "extra" rounds are not displayed in the ammo counter at the bottom right of the screen. I have had AWESOME results by tinkering with this setting but I think I'll stay with a conservative 20 round/sec for the sake of game play. :)

this will work for the 1911 and egale talon as well or do I have to change them too?
