Q 1: how do you make entrances/doors that are like arches and cool shapes like that.
Q 2: How do you make laders
Q 3: I cant seem to get my maps to work in game, can anyone tell me what i have to do after i compile it.
Q 4. How do you cut holes and stuff into walls, towers, etc...

Unlike some people would do and tell you to search, I'll help ya out.
To Make Ladder: You need three things. One, you need a ladder that is made out of regular brushes or just anything that looks like some kind of climbing object. Two, you need to draw a brush with the tools\ladder_wood or tools\ladder_metal textures, there is no difference. Set this brush behind your ladder. *Size or shape does not matter for this brush*. Press "n" to edit entity settings on this brush. Make it a trigger_ladder and type "angle" in the key field and type "what ever angle you want your player to be facing to climb ladder" in the value field and click enter. Three, you need a brush with the textures tools\ladder_wood or tools\ladder_metal, doesn't matter, and put this in front of the ladder. Make the brush as tall as your ladder and wide enough for your player to fit inside of it. This is the way to create a ladder and make it work functionally. To Make Arches: These are just regular brushes that are slanted. In GTK Radiant or w/e program you're using, hit the "E" key. This will put points around your object that is selected and where it can be slanted. Click and hold on a point you want and move your cursor in which direction you want to slant. Make a series of these with brushes and try your best to make it look like an arch.
To Play Compiled Maps: Place your .bsp file into Soldier of Fortune II - Double Helix/base folder.
From my experience, I don't think there is a way to cut holes in walls.

dude i tried my map and it was pitch black, i put in lights, and they dont seem to work at all, is there a special thingy that makes the map all lighened?

arches: it's better to use patches, makes is look better, you neeed to edit it a bit with V there are some good tutorials about patches on www.modsonline.com
to cut holes in a wall, make a wall, the make a brush the size of the hole and then place it where you want the hole and press csg substract. be careful with this thouhg as it can mess up your whole wall if you are not careful.
k after you compile it just go ingame and type /map yourmapname and it will work (if you are using gtk, for sdk you'll have to move the bsp first)
lastly, first look on www.modsonline.com to see if they have tuts, because us, or viper explaining you how to use ladders is unnescesary as the tutorial on modsonline is just as good. and if yo uthen don't get it ask here
add the key//value "ambient" "200" to the worldspawn to get the map totally lighted (if you are gtk, if you are using sdk don't bother doing this, won't work)
