set the resolution to 600x800 you got it way too high, and if you have the finances get yourself a new vid. card,i had geforce2 before and it sucked in sooo many ways.you can also change some of the other settings in the video menu to lowe values

you didnt mention what cpu you have...i have a geforce 2 overclocked to 205 clock /202 mem and run the game at 1024 x 768 with no problem at all BUT i have a 1700+ XP athlon cpu and 512 mb ddr ram. The way i figure this you should be able to play at 800x600 but with a couple of setting tuned down. My recomendation would be to let SOF2 set the settings automatically by doing a ''redetec system settings'' routine in options menu. Then you will get major performance boost. After that try tuning individual settings up one by one until you get reasonable quality / performance ration... have fun HMSS King Volcano :p

Ypu should get Geforce Nvidia 3 card or 4, these cards are the best it would deffinetly solve your problem, the easy way to solve them is to put your settings a bit lower and your screen to 800 * 600

Well I hope that someone can help me out here, sins I have an ok pc, but get wery crappy FPS around 20-60 depending on the maps (in SP mode) Most of the time 30-40 FPS.

The game is updatet to 1.03/Gold

I have not tryed to play online, because I just got the game, and wanted to play the SP mode first, but as long as the SP mode is running, with suchs low FPS, I'm never going to play online.

I have an XP2000+ Geforce 4Ti4600 512MB DDR pc 2700 RAM SB Audigy 19" ViewSonic P95f

try to update your drivers (via 4 in 1 from viaarena.com) and detonator from nvidia. Then you should fiddle in your bios to tweak your agp settings.

Thanks HMSS_King_Volcano

My drivers are up to date.

I have tryed almost everything, and I have com to the conclution, that on serten maps, the grapichs simply is to demanding for todays hardware, (at least mine) I have tryed whit everything on low, but then the game looks like s..., and the FPS is still not something to be envie about, but on other part of the gane, I easely run 100 FPS (v-sync on)

I have no idear why somebody sends a game on the marked, that runs so uneven, after I have read a lot of forums, I can se that everybody is going wery low on FPS especialy in the Columbian jungle, so something is not working wery good there.

The mission I play now is in Japan, and I have no FPS problems there.

The problem is really not in the game cause i have a athlon 1700 with radeon 7500 and i can run the game almost all maxed out. You have weilded the dreaded VSYNC word and i strongly suggest you turn this device off in both game and vid card drivers. Another massive frame rate eater would be anti-aliasing: turn this sucker off too and tell me waht it does to ur game.

Columbian jungle maps are very cpu cycle hungle cause theres a lot of sprites and other demanding stuff in there. So yes, it is normal that your game slows down in these.
