Hi,

I hope someone can help me.

I downloaded the two map packs from sof2files but when I join a server the game still downloads the map altough it's included in the map pack.

I put the map pack like all other custom maps into the base folder.

Please give me some advice on how to make the map pack work and the maps included recognized by the server, respectively the game.

Yup same here

This is a map pack. A zip file containg a number of maps. It has been created for you, so that you dont have to download each map separately.

This pack contains 16 maps. Each supports multiple game-types.

Installation ------------

Extract the contents of this zip file into your Solider of Fortune 2 - Double Helix/base folder.

job done

Do you think it may have something to do with playing on pure or non-pure servers?

I prefer to play on non-pures because I like to have my custom skins and sounds. But I didn't pay attention on wether my problem persists only on pure servers or also on non-pures.

PS: I'm going to download the packs once again and will unpack them a second time. Maybe it will work tomorrow then.

It should not make any difference ?? The only time you have to d/load one of the maps u already have, is if there has been an update to it.

I wanted to download the two packs but it seems they still were in my browser's cache.

I tried on map from map pack 1, sib-base, which worked by turning "allow downloads" off in my options. But when I tried a map from the second pack, hf_subway, it didn't work.

I tried joining through All-Seeing-Eye and the in-game browser.

I'll once more try to get it work by tomorrow.

i had the same problem with the map pack... i didnt extacted directly on the /base folder but instead i extracted on another folder and from there copy and pasted the .pk3 file on the /base folder... maybe thats the reason or something... 1 question... the map pack contains all the .pk3 files seperatly or is only 1 file including all the maps in 1 .pk3 file.... cuz thats what i got... only 1 .pk3 file named allmp1.pk3 or something

it doesn't make a difference if you extract it directly into a folder or copy and paste the file from somewhere else.

The map pack consists of only one .pk3 file. I tried to extract it to the base\mp folder and one map from the second map pack worked. But like MiloBwah, the hf_subway map still didn't work.

As I get to test the other maps of the packs, I'll tell if they work or not.
