Well couple hours ago SoF2 worked just fine.. And now? I try to start SoF2, it gives me this error:

"OpenGL Initialization Failure. To play Soldier of Fortune 2: Double Helix, please verify that your card is OpenGL compliant. If it is, please update to the latest video drivers. See the readme.txt for more details."

Then, i push OK.

It gives me the green console thing, what comes up when u start SoF2, with a blinking headline what says "GLW_StartOpenGL() - could not load OpenGL subsystem"

And the text on the console:

"SOF2MP GOLD V1.03 win-x86 Nov 5 2002 Initialising zone memory ..... ----- FS_Startup ----- Current search path: C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2/base/MP C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\update103.pk3 (55 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\update102.pk3 (213 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\update101.PK3 (298 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\therest.pk3 (7125 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\textures1234.pk3 (10843 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\textures0.pk3 (2816 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\skins.pk3 (4117 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\musicandsound.pk3 (3055 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\mp.pk3 (338 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\models.pk3 (3643 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2\base\maps.pk3 (466 files) C:\WINDOWS\Työpöytä\Pelit\SoF2/base

Well i know it looks like my graphic card is messed up, but no. Its about SoF2. I tried Americas Army (a game what need 3D card too) and it worked fine. I have DirectX 9.0 and latest graphic card drivers.

My system is: AMD Duron 1000 mhz GeForce 2MX 384 RAM Win 98SE

All help is appriciated before i re-istall SoF2.

Sounds to me when you shut down the game it deleted/moved/lost some files.. Looks like it be best to reinstall..before you do back up ur sof2mp.cfg file and maps.. uninstall remove all traces of sof from ur pc i.e. folders amd registry entries

Good Luck :(

Great One

This happens to me occasionally. A system restart fixes this problem, or at least it does for me.
