Hi, when I try to go into multiplayer it shows no servers at all. I have made sure that I have Internet selected etc but it will not show any. If I try Gamespy and I click a server to connect it just sits there trying to connect counting up. This is wierd as nothing has changed and I used to be able to get online no problem. It happened all of a sudden last night, I saw the server list, picked a game and clicked join. It then told me that the server was full but the list had said that there was only 8 people in of 24. When I came out the games had all gone and I just can't get them back. Other games (IL2, Renegade) get online no problem at all. Anyone any ideas before I reinstall the game? And if I do how do I save all of my "save" games in SP?
P.S. anyone any idea how to get past the Kamchatka level, the last thing he says in "this train is going nowhere" but I can't see a way out of here.
Vulcan (puzzled and tired of this damn train.. )
Sorry guys..scratch that...lmao I have it back now..hmm let me explain.... I have a small home LAN served by a Linksys BEFSR41 Broadband Router. All PC's on the LAN are provided IPs by DHCP. This PC has always been 192.168.1.100. For some reason last night it decided to release the lease on it's IP and get another one namely 192.168.1.105. Never had a PC do that before while still switched on. All the gaming ports for SOF2 where forwarded to the 100 IP...ergo I had no connection as the ports where being forwarded to an IP for a PC which doesn't exist. Doh!
I'm still stuck with the bloody train though.....
Sounds like one heck of a time and headache. If your of age, I suggest heading down to the Pub to relax and forget about that.
I have had the same kind of problems, (Kinda) where you spend all day trying to figure out what the heck is going on, then just at the last moment, you figure out it is something simple and stupid....Whew, I hate those.
Glad you got it going.:lookaround:
