So I'm running SoF2 Gold single player for the first time using an updated bios. And I got the "AGP Memory is at zero" error. I ran a nVidia test and sure enough I have zero AGP memory. My video card is a Voodoo 3 2000. I read at several sites that particlar card only has AGP 2x and no AGP texturing. Now here is my question.

Do I even have AGP memory on this card ? If I do then how do I change those settings in my bios. I know how to get into my bios but have no idea how to change most of the values.

man o man thats a lame ass card you have...no offense. This card has onboard memory but not nearly enough to run the game (plus your lacking a lot of the visual goodies due to outdated directx support). i suggest you try to set AGP aperture size in your bios to at least 64 mb, try 128 mb if you can manage it (if you have at least 256 mb of system ram). Make sure AGP fast write is enabled too. Finally paray and if evererything else fails, buy another card pronto.

You Flashed your Bios?

Ok its a stupid question but i got to ask

Is the card in an AGP slot or a PCI slot? (

Do I even have AGP memory on this card ?

Was the game working before with this card?

Is the card part of the main board?

Yeah I flashed my bios on my Mobo so I could install a new HD. The Card is in an AGP slot. The game has run on this computer in the past. I played and beat the whole thing. And on multi-player it looks fine. I deleted the game and now have re-installed it. And I don't remember getting the error the first time I played. My problem is this compaq limits what you can do to your bios. Is there some software that lets me edit my bios from windows ?

Can you guys give me step by step instructions how to change my AGP memory values ?

Like

enter bios--->Advanced--->...

I'm hopeing to scrap this card for maybe a Radeon 9000.

oh I'm running a Athlon 800Mhz, win98se, 384 MB ram, 40 GB HD (20GB free).

thanks for your honesty. But I think the problem is going to soon be moot. I'm going to trash the card I got and get a newer one.

that is your best option cause voodoo cards are relics from a frightening past...;)
